Hey there steemians,
My name is Jo Donoghue and I am starting a blog on here about everything science and technology. I graduated from a little college in PA with a degree in biology and mortuary science, and realized that rather than being a funeral director I wanted to be a biologist. I found my degree rendered useless at the realization that to do anything in biology you need continuing education or certifications. It led me to realize how much of a hoax the education system is, and it started me to get set up in the Biohacking community (a group of people from various backgrounds using science to better their lives). I am here to answer questions in science and technology, educate, and inspire. I feel steemit is a great place to use blockchain technology with the diffusion of knowledge. Knowledge and technology to the masses is what is going to change our planet for the better.
Now join with me and lets science together!

Hello fellow newbie,
I also fell out with the education system of today.
I'm curious about your biohacking community. Can you fill us in a bit more?

Yes, Biohacking refers to the people at home doing biology to better their lives or just for the sake of having fun. There are 3 groups of biohackers. Grinders- who implant various forms of technology under their skin, the second group experiment with altering their metabolism using herbs, and the third group build a lab on the cheap to do genetics and microbiology. If your interested follow my blog and google sebastian cocioba and josiah zayner.
