Hello everyone,

I go by Bo and I am a writer and humorist living around the South with my cat, Frankie. My posts will typically be about the people, places, and predicaments we observe along the way in the form of short stories, micro stories, the occasional rant, and possibly even a serial about my lifetime of experiences around Georgia. I may even post a picture now and then.

A little background is probably a good idea. I grew up the only son of a strict military/conservative/evangelical family in a backwater textile mill town in western Georgia. Probably not the ideal setting or family for a gay, artsy, agnostic, sensitive, snarky boy, but it forced me to take note of and study the people and culture around me. After a while I found them less repulsive and more hysterical as they live out their lives in what could be a collection of Southern Gothic short stories. Stints living across the state, attending art school in Savannah, becoming a barfly, and then majoring in history at university later in life expanded my understanding and presentation of my "subjects."
