Hello Steemit world!

in introduction •  5 years ago

Finally got my account approved. That takes a really long time!

So I met a couple of people when i was traveling in Florida and they kept talking about Steemit so I figured i would give it a try.

My interests include a lot of things but mostly I plan on trying to find groups that revolve around comedy. Who doesn't like to laugh?

I also really like WWE and hope there are some people in here that feel the same way. Brock Lesnar is one of my favorites and while I don't think he is very good at it, I did enjoy when he was considered to be a force to be reckoned with when he was in UFC. Mostly I don't really like what WWE has become and preferred it 5-10 years ago. Let's hope they can pull it back!

He certainly did a lot better than C.M. Punk did. How embarrassing was that for Punk? I wasn't as disappointed as many people were because I was never a fan of Punk in the WWE and I thought it was kind of dumb for square-circle superstars who specialize in moves where the whole idea is that they DONT get hurt, going over to a sport where precisely the opposite is the objective.

I don't even remember the name of his opponent but I recall that it was over pretty fast and the guy he was against wasn't really all that good. Whatever! This is supposed to be introducing myself right?

Well, my actual name is Brandon, and I live in the north side of Chicago, Illinois quite near the Cubs stadium. People would assume that since I can walk to Wrigley Field that I would be a die-hard Cubs fan but no, that aint me. You see, tickets to see the Cubbies play are crazy expensive so all of us that make a normal amount of money end up taking the red line down south to see the White Sox play for $10 - $20. You can't go to a Cubs game for 10x that price.

I like money more than I like baseball so I'll take the cheaper option thank you very much :)

I dabble in video games but wouldn't say that i am particularly good at them. When I do play I prefer epic quest, single-player adventure games like "Witcher" or something similar. When I see some of these online games, whether it is sports or war games, I know that I don't have anywhere near the amount of free time as these folks do to master the craft and realize that I would just get the crap kicked out of me and probably get made fun of for my lack of skill. Since I don't generally enjoy being talked down to by 12 year olds, I choose to stay away from that sort of thing.

I likely won't talk about my professional job because I am a working stiff. I work in an accounting department of a seafood distributor and while I don't HATE my job, It isn't exactly the sort of thing that inspires wonderful stories.

One last thing that I hope someone can help me with. Is finding people to be friends with really as difficult as it appears on here? I can't even find categories that interest me for the most part. Is there a comedy section of sorts on here?

i had hoped that the turn around time for account approval would have improved by now. It is a shame to hear that is not the case. Welcome and as far as the interface is concerned if you are using the default Steemit interface yeah, it sucks. Look to Steempeak.com for a better one (same login procedure.)

For WWE and sports type stuff you might want to head over to sportstalk tribe to see if anyone over there is posting anything other than actifit report cards...there might be a person or two that wants to argue about some WWE. I'll argue with you because I always thought Brock was friggin terrible on the mic and was only in there because of his physique. I appreciate the people like Ric Flair who could do both. I wonder if the Naitch and Brock ever faced each other?

Thays right
You must be very happy
