Introduction of a nameless creator & some backstory

I would like to introduce myself, I am a new member on the site and I am a Hospitality professional in Miami. I am originally from New York which I miss dearly! the people, the changing of seasons, the culture... pretty much everything. You may ask then why don't I move back? the simple answer is that I am stuck in Miami for the time being because of my mother she is a little ill, we received a letter in the mail a couple of days ago already having her pre-surgery consult since her kidneys are not working well and she goes to Dialysis a few times a week. I am expecting the "Pre-surgery" consult to go well and hoping that the actual transplant takes place not too far into the future.

As mentioned earlier "I come from the Hospitality industry and I have been in the business for over 10 years now, the first hotel I ever worked for is the Fountainbleu Hotel in Miami Beach and it was a mistake
Ok, let me elaborate on the Mistake! it wasn't a Mistake in terms that I regret ever being there but at the time I was working security for a condo in Miami. One day one of the residents which I knew well told me about the Fountanbleau hiring security and that they pay well so they set up an interview for me with their friend apparently so needless to say I was pretty excited.

Ok... Maybe not like that but you get the gist ha. I arrived and long story short they weren't hiring for Security but they were hiring for a Front Office position which I showed interest and they hired me for, and that my friends is how I began a long interesting career in hotels.

Fast forward many years and I am in the management game

I do enjoy what I do but my dream would be to open my own hotel someday and have it run the way I know it should be run.
