Introducing Myself - Eppes

As a writer, I believe it is usually easier to write about other people rather than one’s self. I guess that is why I have been hesitant to introduce myself. The thing with humans is that we crave for perfection when describing ourselves while believing we are objective. It is obvious no one on earth is perfect and when it comes down to one’s self, objectivity is non-existent.
My name is Tolu but my friends call me ‘The Eppes’. I got the nickname from watching the crime procedural series, Numb3rs that involves solving crimes with the knowledge of Mathematics. I see myself as one of the characters, FBI Agent Don Eppes played by Rob Murrow. I believe I am a pragmatist, a realist to the core who believes in what works out for me.
In terms of hobbies, I am a movie freak and a soccer fan. I love movies so much that I do not mind spending my last penny to see the ones I love. I love TV Series so much and I am still a big fan of One Tree Hill even though the series ended 5 years ago although it still feels like it ended yesterday. I am also a fan of any Indian film featuring Shah Rukh Khan, the Baadshah of Bollywood. I am a fan of Manchester United of England. I fell in love with the club during David Beckham’s last season at the club, 2002/03, where the style of play captivated me. I am still a fan till date and a staunch supporter of the club.
I am also a passionate writer having fallen in love with Sidney Sheldon’s novels although I write mostly on Sports and Economics. In terms of relationship, I am single but that can change anytime. I am no womanizer but I like to deceive myself that I am a ladies man. That may never be put to test though.
I hope I do enjoy it on this wonderful platform where memories can be uniquely created. I am the Eppes.
