Welcome to my Steemit blog!

So this is my first entry - just an introduction about me and preview about what I am about to write.

I currently live in Seoul, South Korea where the blockchain industry is considered slow and somewhat behind, compared to other Asian countries like China and Japan. Interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies has just recently become serious - not just a narrow topic of interest to high-level developers - but to the general public as a tool for investment and as a symbol of the future. And I have recently joined the community, as a rare breed coming from a completely different field.

I majored in International Relations for my B.A. and International Policy Studies for my Master's degree at Stanford University. Also, I have had professional experiences in banking , telecommunications, and English education. So none of my degrees nor experiences are directly linked to the blockchain industry! With a lack of background in engineering, developing, and even coding - I feel like I could be a complete outsider in the industry. But then again, I am considered a "hybrid", meaning I am fluently bilingual in Korean and English - a mix between Asian and Western in an adequate way so that I can understand both cultures well. So when the blockchain industry develops in South Korea, I can simultaneously experience it and deliver what happens here to the world. With my own unique, "as-easy-as-possible" approach, anyone can easily understand the status quo of the blockchain industry! That is one of the main reasons why I am writing my story here, with the hope of communicating with the world.

In the world of blockchains, I will focus on communicating with the players in the industry and trying to bridge between the South Korean community and the world. As investment in cryptocurrency is soaring (and perhaps world's largest investing country), I believe global interest in the South Korean market is growing. That is why I will continuously try to host meetups and participate in major events in the blockchain industry so that I can connect the interests within South Korea with those of the rest of the world.

In further posts, I am hoping to deliver some fundamental information about the blockchain industry in general - dealing with basic, underlying concepts and sometimes with hot topics. Also, as a newbie, I plan to (and have to) learn as I write - and I love feedback or supportive comments - please feel free to communicate.

Aside from my career in blockchain industry, I am highly interested in dancing, exercising (especially weight training), traveling, finding hot places, and healthy cooking - So I may post up random posts in between.
