I'm a full stack web tech with experience across old style 20th century media. Interested to see what's happening here on Steem. The ability to tip curators of content has been needed since the rise of the blogosphere and the destruction of the newsprint revenue stream and blockchain seems like the best way forward, removing the need to organize and trust a centralized "bank". Now that my account's activated and I've looked around it's not what I expected. I was expecting more of a Facebook alternative and Steem seems more like Digg with curator micropayments pointed at crowdsourcing Medium. I'll be checking in periodically to browse and if I can work up quality content will post it here.
