Hello, until I come up with a more bad ass profile name, I will be going by Jay-See-Oh Jr. I'm an artist, animator, illustrator, writer with lots of aspirations. I'm a recent graduate from California College of the Arts and looking to find the right outlet for my creativity (and also get out of student loan debt, am I right?). I got stories, fan fiction, philosophy, politics and religion (in the broadest sense possible) on my mind and have been looking for the right platform to display it, and it seems like the Steemit provides quite a few options that I can dip my toe in, from video, to pictures, to quick messaging and all based on an emerging currency, of the crypto nature.
So, an example of my politics: I don't believe in using modern emoji's, but I am a strong advocate in using the classic emotocon system. So there, come at me. I'll take all of you!

It's pretty exciting, really, starting out in an emerging platform utilizing an alternative system of profit. I've heard about bit coin for a couple of years now, I loved to play YTCracker's 2013 hiphop song 'Bit Coin Barron,' acting like I knew what he was talking about but to only further expose my ignorance of the whole concept of Bitcoin, let alone cryptocurrency, in general.
I got a more detailed explanation of cryptocurrency from John Oliver (awesome possum) and I take to heart his ending conclusion (spoilers): 'Don't invest more then you're willing to.'
My curiosity into the whole block-chain based media platform began when I started hearing about dtube and Steemit from youtube regulars, TJ Kirk (not a fan, but youtube keeps recommending him to me) and David Pakman (am indeed a fan).
Later, I looked into a discussion about Steemit in which entrepreneur, anarcho-capitalist podcaster and possibly Stephen Lang's long lost son, Jeff Berwick (who is pro) debates crypto-trader and, very likely, the what would happens if Patrick Fischler and Tommy Wisaeu did the DBZ fusion dance and then decided to study financial engineering, Tone Vays (who is anti).

Although, you are already on this platform, so maybe you've already considered the risks and benefits. Oh well.
So I figured, after leaning the basics, assessing potential risks, I figured I should get into this, support this, learning the ins-and-outs along the way while also making sure to brace myself for the inevitable platform change (after all, as I'm writing this, Steemit, as well as the other associated platforms, are currently in their beta formats), treading lightly where I need to and 'stomping the yard' when I deem most appropriate.
Most importantly, I'd like to get a hands-on experience in the handling of that sweet, sweet crypto stuff. Gimme that stuff, that funk, that sweet, that funky crypto stuff (say what?). [1 point to who ever can guess that reference]
