Advocating change? An introduction.

in introduction •  7 years ago

Hello Steemit community!

I'm Jesse, a fellow crypto-goer and steem noob. I'm from down-under (Australia) and reside on one of the most remote capital cities on the planet, Perth. Like many in this exponentially growing world of decentralisation, freedom & crypto among other things, I recently became involved in cryptocurrency and now have made my way to steemit.

I've signed up to join the revolution of social media, and be apart of the growing community that is steemit, and crytocurrency.

This is simply my introduction to steemit, which seems promising, and a potential successor for facebook? Is this the next generation social media platform? Only time will tell.

I feel like I should be advocating and promoting steemit on my Facebook page, to potentially accelerate the growth of this site, but I feel many people will turn a blind eye due to fear of change.

As a newcomer to Steemit, what advice can the community provide me with? What should I expect, what would be wise to post? or any other general advice.

Hopefully Steemit will become one of my primary social media platforms, As I've never been a fan of twitter or instagram.

Until next time.
Cheers for reading.

Hi Jesse and welcome. I'm also very new. When I share my steemit posts on FB sometimes someone joins. I've not had any resistance to someone jumping over here and reading my articles. It is nice to introduce a new way to the social media world. I'm not a fan of the major platforms.
