An Attempt to Introduce myself :)

Hi Steemians! :) Just wanted to share my recent thoughts on blockchain technology and kind of introduce myself to this community. Approximately 1 year ago I accidentally came across a video that was trying to explain what the blockchain technology is all about. And the first thing that really impressed me was the idea of overcoming the trust issues that we have in our daily life, in our contemporary digital society.

I thought "Imagine a world where there is no need to trust a lawyer, a banker, a broker, a trader, etc. in order to interact with somebody else; to buy a house, to invest your money, to take a loan, to buy an airplane ticket, to book a hotel. Isn't that sooo coool!".

Of course, a 2-3 minute video cannot explain the technology, but it was a good start for me. It gave me the inspiration to dive deeper in what all the hype is all about. I became more and more interested in what it can do, and how it works and then I started to think how it can be useful for me myself, how it can potentially ease my life, or the life of me family, relatives and colleagues.

Nothing really came to my mind :D:D:D, because I am not that technologically knowledgeable. But then I changed my focus. I started searching for something that can be helpful for my professional life. I asked myself (and Google) - what and how can the blockchain technology change in the travel industry?

And "voila" - a few startups working on cool use cases - Winding Tree, LOCKTRIP, Travala, Tripio, Evedo. The idea behind most of them is to give the best online service in its field, but how they achieve it? The key point here for me is that all these startups fight for one common goal - eliminating all those unnecessary middlemen in the process of giving, sharing, buying or selling products and services. I know that most of you will say that it all usually starts with a promise, and you never know how it will end. Well, this is a special one - absolutely tremendous, well educated and knowledgeable team, absolutely transparent business model, straightforward thinking and the most loyal project community I have seen so far, and last but not least - whatever they promise, they over-deliver!
