Introducing me to you

Hello Steemians 

I’ve enjoyed many forums over the years; Google, Oprah, Amazon and Huffington among them. The disheartening thing was always that someone started fiddling with censorship, and eventually our mouths were clammed and freedom of speech was squashed. I’ve refrained for a long time now from getting back in, as I’ve left behind many good debates and friendships because I will never be able to say the polite and acceptable thing when the truth is the real elephant in the room. Teaching myself to say things with more diplomacy has come from forums, checking my facts, and doing proper research before I launch into attack also is key to building reputable content and followings. The internet should be a place where we can have healthy debates, where we can challenge norms and by which we grow as a world-wide-web-community. I hope Steemit works out that way! I’ve abandoned all social media years ago because of the falseness and lack of integrity! I’m a Steemer now.
