MY VERY FIRST STEEMIT POST....

A big Hello to the Steemit world.This is my very first post on Steemit and continuing the tradition, I would first introduce myself.

I am Saumya Singh, an 18 year old currently studying in Patna,Bihar,India.A good orator,an avid-reader,good writing skills and leadership qualities;these are not enough to define me but are appropriate.I started writing when I was a 10 year old rebellious kid and from then on I found myself involved in every reading and writing activity organized in our school.I participated in each and every elocution,extempore and debate competitions of our school and even won many awards.I even represented my school in various inter-school activities.I also used to write for my school's magazine and bulletin boards.As I was good in co-curriculars and academics,I went on to become the "Head Girl" of my school.Till date,it is the best thing that happened to me and I find myself lucky to be able to carry that responsibility very well.

People around me cannot stop themselves from calling me a "Tom Boy" as according to them I don't fulfil the criterias of being a girl.According to me, people should not assign some particular actions or activities to a certain gender/sex.For example, I like watching cricket but that doesn't make me a boy.I dress up differently and that doesn't steal away my identity of being a girl.And what would people call the boys who dress up differently,"Jerry Girl"?(lol,just kidding).

This was a short description about me.I would love to share my ideas on steemit.I hope I'll be able to provide you all with good content write-ups.
