Hello to all my fellow humans (and maybe even a few androids) out there in SteemitLand!
I have typically stayed out of the social media realms for most of my adult life. Besides being new to Steemit, I do have a twitter account - Purposeful Living @livelife724. Most of what I aim to do, on the little social media through which I am active, is share perspective on life. Besides my belief that crypto and blockchain will make the world a better place to live, I also believe that the human race has begun a massive shift in consciousness for the better. It is my belief that many people today want to discuss their experiences, yet lack the avenues to do so. Many of these experiences that people are living through go unrecognized and undisclosed for various reasons - "Criticism - no one will believe me," "No one to speak with of whom I trust," & "that was simply a coincidence" are many of the thoughts people succumb to when experiencing unique and often awe-inspiring events in life. So these events are left to wonder and often get buried in the mind as life goes on.
As a "Westerner" for all of my current physical life, my upbringing was through Christianity. As a child I asked "WHY" a lot. Especially when things didn't make sense to me. I've never been satisfied through being told - "Because I said so," or "Have Faith." I set out about 7 years ago to find out more on my own and create my own "truth" through experience. After all, isn't that what truth really is? Personal experience?
I currently do not identify with any one religion - but rather identify as "spiritual." The term spirituality means many different things to many different people. My hope here through Steemit, in my small way, will be to carve out a niche and discuss what many Westerners, and others through the world, have been hesitant to discuss...
- Is there life after death?
- What about the possibility of reincarnation?
- Why are we here - - - why do we exist?
- What is my purpose?
- And many other questions that have been pondered on for eons of time.
My hope is to generate conversation around how we as humans can advance ourselves through our own individual spiritual awakenings and live the most purposeful and fulfilling lives possible. I will always remain non-judgmental. I do not believe it is our place to judge others and decide whom is right and whom is wrong. It is my belief that all humans in this world are on their own unique journeys and experiencing what they need to experience in their own unique lives. I do however believe that many people have questions and are unsure on the subject. I hope that this becomes a space where anyone willing to explore their existence can join in on the journey and learn along with me. I certainly don't have it all figured out, but I'm in a much more "knowing" place than where I was seven years ago...
I will share some pretty AMAZING life events that I have no longer been able to chalk up to "coincidence" that have proven my truth - - - we exist beyond this physical life. There is 100% no doubt in my mind. There is much more going on that human kind is "waking up" to. It is my belief that we all have unique and powerful abilities of our minds that are going untapped. Through focus, intent, and belief - we can harness our abilities for our benefits in this life.
I'm looking forward to sharing perspectives, telling stories, hearing stories, and engaging in thought provoking dialog along the journey. My mind is as open as they come...and I hope that many here can approach the topic in the same way and maybe learn something powerful, that can help them and others near them, live a fulfilling and purpose-driven life.

Thank you for the kind words @porters. I intend to add the best content I can here and bring some good thought to this space. I’m completely intrigued with the “non-physical” aspects of life. It’s a journey that I’ll be sharing here with followers and friends. I’ll certainly check into those questions from @eco-alex as well. Those seem like a great way to interact here. Great introduction! I love it when I come across someone on their spiritual journey or when they come to me. Good on you for asking questions in your Christian upbringing! It is imperative to question everything! My view is that there is plenty to learn from esoteric Christianity and the astrotheological aspects of the teachings, but in my experience the exoteric Christianity that is taught in church has nothing to do with that or truth and is only there to keep you in a mental prison.
I like the questions you are asking as well as your attitude and approach. I look forward to hearing about your personal experiences and life events you will be sharing :)
