STEEMIT TIPS- Series Posting 101 (Closing in on 1,000 followers!)steemCreated with Sketch.

One of the best things I think you can do on Steemit to capture and keep an audience is to make a series out of the posts that you like doing the most. Rather than having it be a one off you can keep using the same format over and over again. Not only does it create a consistent experience for your audience, but it can help you lower the time investment necessary for each post that you do.

Lessons from the Daily Show

I've sited the Daily Show as one of my inspirations for this comment a couple of times. Every show followed an almost identical format.

Opening
Solo bit by host
bit 1
bit 2
Interview
Daily dose of zen
close credits

Every show! Every Show for like 10 years!!!

Meme the News is my current example of this

  1. The image stays constant
  2. The opening stays constant
  3. You have a drawer full of brand new memes
  4. Ending stay constant

Speedup trick

Lemme walk you into my studio here!

I have a word doc that I keep open. It has the image link, opening lines, and all the badges that I use already in there and formatted. So, 1,2, and 4 literally take me all of copy/paste to get in there.

The rest of it is scrolling through facebook for an hour to mine for meme gems, but I've been doing that kind of scrolling since 2012 anyway. This is just fun and a chance to share some funny shit with my audience.

So, there you go!

You want some advice on how to grow and save time? Serialize your posts, make a word doc for all the key things you plan on copying so you can just copy/paste them over. Watch your time go down, enjoyment go up, and give your followers a base of things to expect from you!

You can find me lurking on steemspeak, a discord channel that many steemers use to text and talk to each other- https://discord.gg/qjpRj7w
I can also be found on steemchat as @aggroed. If you have a post to share give me a good sentence or two of why you think I’ll like it.

These are great tips for for me which I will certainly use once I start posting. Thank-you for sharing your information with us! I am so happy that you are doing well. Keep up the great work. Wishing you continued success in Steemit!

Thats super kind of you. Thank you.

You welcome! It was meant with sincerity. I believe in being honest and positive and that is why I thanked you for your sharing of information. Again, here's to your success!

Cheers!

Nice concept! I still rewrite or copy/paste from my older blogs (if they are the same series). Will start working like this in the future aswell :)

That's what I did at first, but this saves me so much time!

Nice! Would be even greater if you could prepare some posts as well. On my business page on facebook i post a weekly relevant meme to my business. But i actually pre-post all of them in the first week of the year, all 52 :)

Some of the steemit tools can do that. I forget which because i don't use them, but that's possible now. Just not through steemit.com.

Cool! I'll have a look then, thank you for telling me!

Thanks! Just found my Libre office...And It is loaded with things I am going to figure out!....Lol another week or two of study!....
Love all the positive thoughts and people here... Making me a better person!
Thank you @aggroed! And the rest of you!
Namaste

This is excellent advice that I can apply to the project I am working on now. It should save me a lot of time and effort.

That is helpful. I thought I'd start re-using images based on the topic I'd be talking about, and turn each topic into a series, that way, people could recognize the topics they followed me for because I have a few random things I talk about.

Exactly. That way your audience doesn't have to scroll through the shit they don't care about. THey just see that one image that they like. Maybe they'll also check out some of your other work too!

As someone who is very new to steemit and trying to configure the best way to put up relevant material that I can consistently enjoy to post. I will look to some of these outlines to keep myself reigned in when writing posts. Thank you much for your expierenced adivce! Cheers!

Welcome. Thanks for
checking out the post!

Don't forget about personlity and relatability too.

Justice, might be another one. Watching Jon Stuart I knew he would treat all sides fairly/comically. That was one of the ways in which he could make you laugh even though you disagreed with many of his political opinions.

Thank you for writing a real article. I've been seeing too many "read more here" posts so I have started an index of posts I find readable. So, upvoted, resteemed, indexed and appreciated.

Indexed! thats a new high for me! thats cool and im honored. thanks boss!

Thanks for reminding new Steemians about this. I saw such a message when I first joined Steemit about 2 1/2 weeks ago (maybe via your posts) . I am slowly getting an audience and feedback. Yay - thankful.

I have repaid your thoughtful comment by upvoting the daily riddle series you have. Thanks for being here!

Aww @aggroed thanks so much - that is so kind. Love the sharing spirit of this platform.

Thank you for your interesting informative post. Following.

So, we can post other people's memes and things? I thought we had to do original content?
