The purpose of writing this post is to call the attention of the new members and possibly, the old ones still striving for survival here, on the intricate part of steemit that should help them a long way.

Recently, I had to go back to what i didn't wanna read while signing up, due to problems and challenges faced here as a newbie...Thank God i'm getting out of the mess...

To go by a popular saying which says; If the purpose of something is not known, the abuse is inevitable! So also, i'm saying "IF THE PURPOSE OF STEEMIT IS NOT KNOWN, the ABUSE is SURELY INEVITABLE"

Why the need to read this? I believe this is the first question that came into your mind after reading the intro.

I have come to realize that almost all the newbies(including me) didn't bother to read the welcome notes when signing up on this great platform, probably due to its length. However, I realized it's very important and necessary to read these notes after going through hell here.

The welcome note is a well written step by step guide for every soul on steemit, and has to be read. It consist a lots of vital information that would be an excellent guide for a rookie and make his/her stay here worthwhile, but most of us think that with time, we will get accustomed to it. But, the bad this idea does most to us, is far more than the good it does.

Then why not take the time to read this precious piece?

Due to negligence and failure to do this, most newbies have been striving to survive here, and Painfully, some old members have given up

Anyways, count yourself lucky as I will be briefing you on that lengthy piece. Sit back!!
What the welcome Note contains are listed below;
*Quick start guide; which consists of basic things to know as a starter. Under this, you can find and learn how to;
*Create Posts
*make use of Tags in accordance with the content of the post.
*It also tells you how you are being rewarded in SBD and Steem.
*It tells you what Reputation means and how to maintain it and infact, make it increase.
*Plagiarism; stay away from this as steemit pays you based on your creativity, intelligence and your tenacity.
*How to make your account secured
*Also learn how to earn on Steemit, and lots more.

One more important thing contained in the welcome note is the To Do List; which consists of neccessary things you have to do as a newbie. Some of which are;

*Backing up your password;make sure you do this FIRST!!!
*SigningUp for Steemit Chat; So as to meet new people
*SettingUp your Profile, Avatar, and Cover Image
*Choose your "NSFW" (Not Safe for Work) Display Preference
*And most importantly,Create your "introduceyourself" post!!! Very crucial.

To the Newbies: MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR PASSWORD SAFE TO AVOID UNECCESSARY PROBLEMS IN FUTURE!!!
IF POSSIBLE, GET SOMEONE TO EXPLAIN BETTER TO YOU.
