Aboriginal Art in Vancouver, Canada

in inukshuk •  8 years ago

This is probably one of the most well known public art pieces in Canada. It is an Inukshuk created by artisan Alvin Kanak of Rankin Inlet, Northwest Territories. It is intended to mean Friendship and Welcoming the World. This location is on the Seawall, the world's longest uninterrupted waterfront path. This is another photograph I took that I am inspired to post after watching the incredible opening ceremonies last night for the Summer Olympics 2016 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
A Great Inukshuk
