This screenshot motivational poster is dedicated to all of my SessAyaInu-loving friends, fellow artists, fans, and brethren. Sit back, relax, and soak in Sesshoumaru's and Inuyasha's dashing manner of attending to their one true lady love Ayame and Ayame's brand of ensuring a tight, loving home with the help of her darling cavaliers Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha.
Whether it is the noble, elegant, poised sensation of having Sesshoumaru and Ayame being together in a conjugal relationship or the raw beauty, strength, and awesomeness of Inuyasha and Ayame hooking up and making lots of love to each other, one can never doubt the power my most beloved OT3 has when it comes to how powerful these warriors are both as individuals and as a group. I love these two just the same to the point where I have made SessAyaInu my ultimate OT3 for life. It would also help matters so greatly, especially when it comes to establishing a family complete with two patriarchs and one matriarch to ensure that their clan does not fall apart so easily. Therefore, there is so much good to be found in this three-way pairing centered around the mighty and calculating Lord of the West, the powerful dog hanyou with the strength and stamina of twelve thousand men, and the energetic and spunky Northern Yoro Tribe princess.
With the upcoming release of Hanyou no Yashahime underway this coming autumn, I did the most unthinkable with how I was going to incorporate Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha into my AU headcanon. Where my AU headcanon is concerned, Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha ended up being sisters instead of being canonical half-cousins, thus making them the youngest children of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame. Besides, you are already aware of my sentiments concerning one of my biggest NOTPs of all time, InuKag, but in this post, all negative feelings I have against InuKag are neither here nor there, as I want to focus all my energy on giving SessAyaInu the acclaim and love they solely deserve.
I bet you are wondering, why is it that I prefer both SessAya and InuAya when neither Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha nor Ayame had anything to do with each other? Aside from putting these three canine yokai warriors together as one in my AU headcanon, this was also because there was so much plausibility and interest to be found with how Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha were going to treat Ayame and vice-versa. On top of that, I figured that Ayame is a character I would have loved to see a lot more of because she does prove herself to be strong, capable, independent, fierce, courageous, and total heroine material. Furthermore, I just thought that Sesshoumaru x Ayame was a fresh pairing that needed a whole lot more love and Inuyasha x Ayame displayed a whole lot of strength and formidability with these two paired up, despite this one being not as popular. As a matter of fact, both of these Ayame-centered ships are not really as popular, but they deserve a whole lot more love.
With that said, I now delve into my top ten reasons as to why I ship Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha with Ayame.
Honesty, honor, and courage would be the hallmark traits of their relationship.
All forms of empty flattery and lame lies can go take a hike because all of them not only talk the talk but also walk the walk. Every opportunity and challenge Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame encounter would be met with open arms and there is no scrimping on how triumphant their outcomes will be. This also ties in to their relationship, as Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha would do everything in their power to keep their words and be real men and warriors not only towards Ayame, but also their tribe and their family. Ayame would also do her part in ensuring the perseverance of honor and bravery to be present in their home. Therefore, cowardice would certainly be frowned upon by Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame combined.Ayame can hold her own and is no damsel in distress.
What fun or joy would a relationship be if your significant other is nothing more than a damsel, or even worse, a dumbass in distress? Luckily for Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha, they will not have to worry too much about Ayame because of how she can handle herself in battle and how her physical, mental, and overall strength can help her overcome any foe. Ayame is a warrior never to be underestimated, as her cheetah-like speed, elephant-like strength, lion-like fierceness, and hawk-like precision can ensure her that no foe can pull the wool from her eyes nor kidnap her nor think that she is just another defenseless wench, which she is certainly not by any stretch of the imagination.Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame would indubitably respect each other in a profound level.
This is an element which I certainly treasure in Sesshoumaru's, Inuyasha's, and Ayame's relationship. Despite the differences they have, they can join forces and realize that their potential can be reached without hesitation. What Sesshoumaru can see in Ayame is a young woman who is courageous, fierce, relentless, loyal, determined, and powerful in her own right because she will never back down from a fight nor will she bow down to no man, thus making her the captain of her fate and traits that Sesshoumaru loves in Ayame. Inuyasha can see in Ayame a compassionate, strong, understanding, brave, and honest young woman who is true to herself and her word and who will never unleash any form of abuse on him. In turn, Ayame can easily acknowledge both Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha as the strong, powerful, courageous, honorable, loyal, honest, and gallant gentlemen that they truly are and will show loads of respect to them because of how much they have made her life have a lot more meaning. They have a deep and meaningful connection to the male role models in their lives.
Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame have a lot more in common than they think, and one of the defining facets of how much in common they have is their relationship with the male role models of their families who are Inu No Taishou in Sesshoumaru's and Inuyasha's case as their father and The Wolf Elder in Ayame's case as her grandfather. Sure, Sesshoumaru may have his full yokai mother, Inuyasha may have his human mother Izayoi, and Ayame may have other older wolves in her clan, but the connection they have to the men who have played a substantial role in their lives growing up demonstrates how much they have grown in steadfastness, resilience, and never surrendering to anybody. As part of my AU headcanon, The Dog General and The Wolf Elder have foreseen just how close Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame ended up being when they were very young and how they have cultivated their relationship to be something healthy and meaningful. Therefore, The Dog General and The Wolf Elder have given their progeny enough of an impetus for them to thrive exceptionally well in both times of triumph and loss.Ayame would be a catalyst in helping Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha put their differences aside and join forces.
Ayame certainly would be no stranger to Sesshoumaru's and Inuyasha's epic scuffles riddled with sibling rivalry and loads of moments where the two dog yokai brothers would love to beat the ever-loving crap out of each other. However, she can ensure that Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha do have something in common as brothers and work with it quite well without being too overly preachy or condescending to either of them. This also ties in to my other point about the respect these three would have for each other because Ayame would find their competitiveness the very facet which makes both of them really attractive in her eyes. With her in the picture, she can make sure that both Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha transform their competitiveness into something that will help them be better as individuals and both Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha will definitely protect and defend Ayame with all of their being.Rin plays an integral part in Sesshoumaru's, Inuyasha's, and Ayame's lives.
We all know that Rin truly does signify a great deal for Sesshoumaru because she was the one who was able to open his eyes to what compassion and what genuineness looks and feels like. He has saved her from death two times in the series and her gratitude towards him shows no bounds. Insert Inuyasha and Ayame to the picture and Rin would also extend her gratitude, respect, and overall joy of having three strong parental figures to look up to, learn from, and fully accept them as exceptional role models in her life growing up. Thanks to Rin's unconditional love, she would be another figure to ensure a happy home life complete with two fathers and a mother to see her grow and prosper as a fighter and as a person.Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame would cultivate a superbly formidable family based on strength, respect, honor, truth, responsibility, resilience, and motivation.
Tying in with my sixth point is how Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame would grow their interesting family with not only Rin as their adoptive daughter but also Dai, Roku, Kai, and Shinta as their adoptive sons and Shiori as their other adoptive daughter. Joining in the mix are Ayame's eldest sextuplet sons from Sesshoumaru namely Motoharu, Matsuhige, Mitsuhide, Masataka, Masaya, and Motomu, Ayame's second and third eldest sets of triplet sons from Inuyasha namely Kenta, Keita, and Kuma as well as Kouta, Kazuhiko, and Kaito, Ayame's six daughters who bears both Sesshoumaru's and Inuyasha's characteristics Momoko, Makoto, and Mikoto as the elder daughters mostly bearing the former's stoicism and Maya, Minako, and Meika as the younger daughters bearing the latter's rowdiness, and the youngest daughters of Sesshoumaru's, Inuyasha's, and Ayame's family Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha. To call this a massive family is a mere understatement because Sesshoumaru's, Inuyasha's, and Ayame's mega family is a veritable army of honorable warriors who can kick loads of butt and display oodles of confidence to their tribe and family in doing so. Not only will Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame see their sons and daughters grow, but they will also be happy to see their grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow considering how the likes of Dai, Roku, Kai, Rin, Shiori, and Shinta ended up being married to Sayo, Koume, Moegi, Kohaku, Shintaro, and Ai. Therefore, the legacy will forever live on.There will be no abuse present in their relationship.
This means no God-forsaken Beads of Subjugation to get Sesshoumaru and/or Inuyasha down, no broken promises and no lies for Ayame, and absolutely no brown nosers to make life a misery for any of them. What will emerge from Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame are health, beauty, and loads of synergy.Their three-way relationship could be guaranteed to last.
Given the strength Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame have as warriors, as individuals, and as parents, this would come as no surprise to anybody at all. They can see the best in each other, the worst in each other, and the ugliest from each other and still be completely supportive of their endeavors. Sure, Ayame may see that Sesshoumaru's and Inuyasha's constantly belligerent brand of brotherly bonding is quite draining, but she can aid them channel that aggression into something that will give them the strength to march on. Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha may acknowledge how high-strung Ayame can be, but they can help her use her determination to make herself a stronger person. They have more in common than they think and nothing can stop them.
Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame may bear perspectives which are worlds apart, but they have so many facets about them that they share. Their physical and mental strength, endurance, surprising amount of compassion especially towards Rin and Shiori as their daughters, their father figures and their abundant support to their progeny, and their prowess as warriors are what bring Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame together in every single challenge. No one can ever get them down even if they tried.
In conclusion, I am never going to tire of SessAyaInu as my ultimate and esteemed OT3 for life. I am so chuffed by how amazingly strong and powerful these three canine yokai warriors are together and one can rest assured that Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha can be the best husbands to Ayame and Ayame can be the awesome wife who can kick loads of butt for Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha.
I hope you all enjoyed this and I will see you in the next submission. Take care and stay safe, everybody.
Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame from Inuyasha belong to Rumiko Takahashi and Sunrise.
