This piece of Inuyasha x Ayame and InuAya next-gen fan art, which is my third submission for mysterysneeze's contest is dedicated to Mdwyer5, pumpkinpeaches1, streaksketcher, and Moonstone27 who celebrated their birthdays ranging from last week until today. So, I hope you all had such wonderful birthdays, and I wish you a lot of love and joy in your lives as artists and as people. This is also dedicated to all of the wonderful InuAya shippers of the world. Sit back, relax, and revel in how Inuyasha and Ayame really enjoy bringing their younger daughters Maya and Minako along for their hunting trips in the forest.
Seventeen years ago in Feudal Era Japan, before Maya and Minako became the determined, confident, and dedicated warrior princesses they are today known for their fists of fury and quick reaction times, they were cheery, lively, spirited little girls full of energy and enthusiasm. Their favourite activity was going to the woods to hunt for game meat such as wild boar, bear, antelope, deer, and alligator as well as gathering apples and berries for their meal.
22 going on 23-year-old Inuyasha, 19 going 20-year-old Ayame, and 4 going on 5-year-old Maya and Minako were not your typical hunters, and that same sentiment still holds true today. Given Inuyasha's skills as a wrestler, boxer, Pankratiast, and Ansatsuken specialist, Ayame's abilities as a kickboxer, kenpo practitioner, boxer, and Koppojutsu specialist, and even Maya's and Minako's growth as boxers and kickboxers, they did not need bows and arrows let alone spears. Their bare hands, grappling abilities, and ability to manipulate pressure points and joint locks meant that their bodies were weapons of mass destruction regardless if their targets were enemies or their prey.
Deep in their favourite part of the woods where bushes had red, indigo, blue, purple, magenta, coral, and pink berries in full bloom and apple trees were prominent, this was where they would catch wild boar, antelope, and deer who, in turn, feast on these foods and not just the grass. Aside from the game meat, Inuyasha, Ayame, Maya, and Minako also gathered the berries and apples for good measure. Because wild boar, antelope, and deer gave off a conspicuously strong odour of olive, birch, and smoked beechwood, Maya and Minako tended to have a sneezing reaction to it. This was attributed to how their prey had multicolour berries and apples as their main staple. Maya's and Minako's sneeze was a clear indication that their prey was coming closer. Once the wild boar, deer, and antelope arrive, then it was annihilation time through incapacitating them and, eventually, meal time for the family.
