Welcome to SIO Episode 1: The Genesis Post

Steemit Interesting Opportunities will be a weekly post that will present different interesting opportunities to the Steemit community. The reader can then discuss the presented topic, or something related to the presented topic. When each user replies in the discussion, their first reply can also post their Counterparty address. For each SIO episode they join the conversation, the reader will be rewarded with STEEMITSIO tokens. These tokens will be redeemable in the future and I would like you help on what great ideas the Steemit community would like to see the token redeemable for. So reply below on what different uses the STEEMITSIO token can be used for, and don't forget to post your Counterparty address in the reply.

A future episode will be to announce the creation of the SIO website. Once the website is created and hosted, a Steemit post will release the URL. The URL will also host a submit button to tie your Counterparty address to your Steemit name. This will be used to make tracking your posts to earn STEEMITSIO easier by not requiring you post your Counterparty address to every episode you reply to. You simply reply and we will bounce the user list of replies per episode with our list of linked Steemit/Counterparty Address data.

What are Counterparty tokens, and how do I get a Counterparty wallet address?

Counterparty is a data layer on the Bitcoin blockchain that allows users to create their own tokens that are sent through actual bitcoin transactions. So, each STEEMITSIO token you receive or send is sent as a part of a tiny bitcoin transaction. There are many Counterparty tokens that represent many different  goods or services. There will soon be ability to use smart contracts on Counterparty. You can already use Counterparty tokens in token vending machines, on mobile wallets, google chrome extension wallets, web wallets, a desktop wallet, in iPhone and Android mobile games, and you can also trade different Counterparty tokens on exchanges like poloniex, bittrex, swapbots, and the Counterparty DEX.

Counterparty wallets must hold some Bitcoin as well. Since each transaction for any Counterparty token must require a small fee in Bitcoin, always keep some Bitcoin in your wallet for future sending transactions.

This is an excellent time to begin your journey into the world of blockchain gaming. And How is Spells of Genesis an interesting opportunity?

Well you may believe that since you missed the crowdsale that funded the game, that you may have missed the boat. However, there are still plenty of opportunities heading into the soft launch of the actual game.

1. The Counterparty token BITCRYSTALS is the in game currency. Every month when players use BITCRYSTALS to purchase new cards to play the game with, SOG keeps about half as profit and destroys the other half of the incoming tokens in a process called burning. This ensures that the total amount of BITCRYSTALS is constantly decreasing. As long as the user base and the demand for BITCRYSTALS increases, this puts pressure on the price of BITCRYSTALS to rise. The current price is at $.28 which is slightly down from the high of $.33. Now may be the best time to get into BITCRYSTALS for price speculation.

3. If you are into trading card games, this may be the game for you. It is a mix between an arcade type game with the fun of trading cards that can be combined and upgraded. It's one of the most interesting mobile game betas I have ever been involved in. While I have sold some of my original cards for profit, I have kept a few and will continue to play this game once it is out of beta. There also is nothing wrong with looking at the cards and in game currency as an investment since the prices seem to steadily be rising. Now that's what I call a fun investment!

Interesting Opportunity #2

I will keep this one a little simple. One of the things you will see here are different digital currencies that you can invest in.
