Yeah, I know what you mean. Nobody can predict the future, not even Warren Buffet. So, when a company sets a price target at 165$ like Nomura, it is their point of view from analysing certain shares. It could go even higher beyond 165$. But the thing is, that the stockmarket is 95% psychology, 5% knowledge. There are always factors nobody can calculate. E.g. Donald Trump twitters tomorrow something bad about apple again. The price would fall again, due to investors, which sold their shares due to Trump's twitter statement. That's why investors also say: buy the rumor, sell the news. But in long term, this it is a good signal that Nomura has set the apple shares to buy and raised the price target, and that is why more investors will buy.
That's interesting. Its hard for me to follow the price of apple and know why the price is what it is half of the time.
