Hi!
I am margerlol citizen of the web. My interests are gaming, investing and im a Personal Trainer so everything related to health is in my deep interest. I like mountain biking alot so I may be writing about it and posting cool videos :D.
Lets start this blog about talking my investing career.
I have allways been facinated by money. Tho i have allways used my money and didnt save a dime. There is allways something that i want. Well tbh I used most my money for partying between 20-31 age. Most people have own houses and savings, but not me. Tho i have gained lots of friends and have realy nice experienses. But now it feels like i need to start making some capital.
I have allways done some work. Youger ages 14+ worked at a company where i used to mow the lawn. Kinda hated that shit but yeah i got some money for it. I think its illegel to pay that little now days :D.
After army I was at some warehouse job collecting vegetables and stuff what the customer wanted. Then it was shipped to their shop. Didnt like that shit much cause the bosses were breathing to your neck all the time and you had to work constatly to earn points. If you earn enaugh points during the day you get more pay. It's fine if you want to work realy hard and get paid for it. Not me atleast not on that kind of job.
After that warehouse summer job I went to school to study to become automation engineer. I kinda like that kind of shit but there was too much useless stuff and it didnt motivate me at all. Tho I ended spending 8 years in that school and never got my papers. Didnt miss much but i had 0 motivation, maybe because i had to work my ass off because of my mistakes.
After first year of school I started to work as a security guard. Tho job was realy similar to military police's dutys. The work was mostly weekends and nightshift. I drove a car and made isnpections to companies and did some things they wanted me to do. The job suited kinda well with school but the pay was kinda bad but i had to do it.
During the school years there was lot of partys and stuff like that. Wich lead to skipping classes etc. working, partying and playing wow :).
Somewhere around 2006 I went to as intern to the factory where i work still today. The pay was good and job was pretty easy and somewhat could stand it. Dont say I like it that much, but it brings food to the table :).
Back in the days there was so much work that you could do as much overtime you wanted. I did the max ammount per year few times. Back then i had lots of loose money. I didnt have any dept and my balance just grew even i used money for partying playing poker etc. Then the biggest mistake. Wanting a sporty car! Holy shit that was a bad mistake. I toke the car with dept. I was ok paying the fees and stufflike like that cause i had lots of overtime, but then things started to go bad in the financial world and the overtimes stopped.
Had to sell the car and move closer to my work so i could walk etc.
Well i could say those years were kind of hell to me. Didnt have spare money at all. I had the dept but no car.
But now the mistakes have been paid!
I made my first investments at end of the year 2015. I still had depts but i have slowed down on partying and started to save some money. I have used to live on a pudget that i can eat the healthy food i want. So i started to save everything i had over that point.
My first investments was some finnish fund where i put like few hundred euros or something like that. Then I read book about index funds. It realy opened my eyes many ways. I immidiately swiched that fund where i started to index fund wich had low fees. The book explained the huge effect of fees over 1%. To normal people it doesnt seem much but if you hold your money there a long time vs low fee fund you get rekt hard.
Soon after i started to get interested about stock. I had been interest in owning stocks a long time before this, but i was in belieave that they are only for the rich people that you cant do shit with bankroll less than 5k. at december 2015 I made account to nordnet and started to invest there. My first stock i bought there was Valmet. I bought it at the worst times when it was near its all time high. Soon after i bought it dropped and was realy boring so i sold it at a loss. Allmost right when i sold it around 8e it started kinda of an epic run to 17e in like a year or so.
Then i did some trades here and there kinda wasted money just buying something and selling it kinda soon after cause i found something more interesting. Activision blizzard! As a long time player of their games i knew how good they are so i wanted to invest in that. Well at that point it started to learn little about charts, but not enaugh at that point :) So i bought that stock when it allso was near ATH. So it dropped allso and i was sitting again with 20% or so loss.
At the same point of time at work we had a group where we talked lots about investing. There was a guy who knows a lot and i learned lot from him. Thx to him for that! He made me aware of the risks involving market and its possible crash cause market was so high and there was lots of time since the last big correction down. So i started to think what else could be a good investment. So Gold and bitcoin came to play. Some book that i read had little piece of gold and gold miners. Specially ETF fund names GDXJ. In that ETF there are smaller gold miners and the companies started to benefit kinda hugely if gold price rise to certain level. That ETF was nearing its all time low like around 15$. So i started to make moves to put my money in it. I sold most of the stuff ihad and moved that money to GDXJ. I thinki got it around 23$ or something like that. It started to rise and I made some nice returns from that.
During this time i allso bought 1 bitcoin around 400$. It was pretty high according to charts allso but i still bought it in FOMO and back then was speculation that chinese are pumping lots of money in to bitcoin to take it away from their weak currency. It dropped a little and i got bored to it and sold it at a loss.
Begining of 2016 i saw article about cannabis stocks. I was like what the fuck! Can you invest in cannabis?! Hell yeah you could! I found Terrra tech and invested money that i had previously in bitcoin and little more to it. I think i got in around .20$ it allmost went to .30$ and stuff like that. I wanted more so bought some more. And oh buy did it have some nice returns on that! And then the bad vibes started to come from the company and US lawmakers. So its dropped kinda badly and i sold all my shares of the company when the insiders just kepts selling and selling. Think I sold at 0% returns or something like that.
I kept some time off from the cannabis stocks, but later that year i started to know about cannabis companies in canada.
Canopy growth was the company i first stumpled and i researched it well. Realy liked what a saw there. So i invested a little to it and immidiately got 50% returns. There i made a mistake oh well. the charts were flying of the roof and i was like its going to go and selled. Well it went to oposite direction!
I didnt jump back to that stock so i found another company wich im still invested today and recently holding that has paid hugely! Aurora Cannabis($ACB)!
During these situations I have learned an important lesson. I have never should sold allmost anything owned. Terra tech is exception cause i wont hold anything i dont like. Same goes for my crypto investments. I should have never sold anything i like but i have to protect my investment and to jump some other interesting project.
This was a "small" intro to me and will continue with my crypto investments on later posts!
Thx for reading!
