Gazprom is on that list of companies which is ready for a double up in the neartime future...
Gazprom is the largest natural gas company in the world and has his roots laying in russia,
50% of all imported Natural gas used/sold in Europe comes from only one company: Gazprom,
not a lot of people know this but when turning on heaters in europe in the midst of the winter well be sure you are getting
a large amount of that from Russian Gazprom according a bit of where you live in Europe...
Norway, UK & Netherlands have there own production quotas in Natural Gas...but the latter two are depleting rapidly in reserves there...
Gazprom future plans China,
As of this moment Gazprom is building a huge pipeline network 3000 km from Siberia to cities as Beijing & Shanghai to deliver 38 Billion m3 in the future per year in that region...as an initial plan and extra plans are set to export 30 Billion M3 throughthe other side of China so the east.
FOr example Gazprom sends almost 43 Billion M3 per quarter to Europe...in the winter months...
forecast is that the EU would need an extra 51 Billion M3 Natural gas per year in 2025 and by 2035 extra demand would be 84 Billion m3 per year....
LNG could lessen that extra pressure on the demand side, but best solution is Gazprom furfilling that extra demand,
Natural Gas is at this moment the cheapest form of energy...easily transported, clean energy to consume and will be so for a long time...there is no way, alternative energy resources can replace Natural Gas in a short distance of time....cost of material and replacement in that field doesn't addup against abundant easily transported Natural Gas through pipelines at this moment.....
Europe:
Gazprom is building a new pipeline 'The Nord stream 2 project" through the baltic sea stretching 1200 km long into Germany...which should be start exporting Natural gas from Russia to Europe from 2019 on...
total capacity: 55 Billion M3 per annum.
Turkey/Europe:
Gazprom also started building a huge pipeline from Russia to Turkey through the black sea, two lines each can provide 15.5 Billion m3 a year, to provide Turkey and the south of europe from cheap Natural Gas, project will be ended late 2019...
All projects c'ing online within 2 years of development which will boost Gazprom profits big time in the nearby future...
Gazprom is trading at almost 10 years lows at this moment, 10 years ago the shareprice was trading at 24.5 $ per share with higher prices for Natural Gas back than...right now $ 4.24 per share.....prices for Natural gas are at bottom rock right now, so the trend should be up in the future coupled together with the many projects c'ing online...this shareprice looks to be a far cry at which it should be trading at...
Max pain level I can foresee here is a max 20% loss from the current shareprice...
Not many investments out there with a max 20% short term pain level..
when all new streams transporting natural gas in the future the shareprice won't sit forever at bottomrock prices, so my guess is between now and 2018 it will probably be the best time to buy shares in this company in Russia..
Gazprom is also paying a nice dividend each year: 0,26785 USD per share that was for 2017 on a shareprice of $4.24 per share ...that's +- 6.7 % profit a lot more than most get on saving accounts in the bank...
Price earnings= 3.7
average PE in this sector: 20/30
bookvalue is 5 times higher than the current shareprice....company is worth $ 21 per share....so 500% upside from the current level....
Only negative downside I can see here is the russian political stance viewed by the west which is in fact bullocks but it's there, probably also be the reason it is trading that low right now, but like alway's value will and alway's will win vs political emotions or short term pain....vs the long term picture which looks phenomenal for this company,
Chance betting the whole farm in this company doubling or fivefolding your money is far greater than the chances you will still live when 80 imho...same for cryptocurrencies, it can only grow when more believers join the party and buy crypto...we can never be certain or say how much a specific cryptocurrency will be at the end of the rainbow reaching that pot of gold...

Every dog has it's moment of glory, and imho that moment arrived that investing in Gazprom is here right now to sit back and relax waiting for the value to catch up and unravel in a short timeframe...< 2-3 years, whilst doing that catching all dividend hikes...and prepare for northern hemispheres...

Thanks for posting this. I actually looked at gazprom when the Russian sanctions happened and Ruble crashed. With all that political nonsense starting to go away, right now might be a good time to buy some.

Yandex, Sberbank, Mobile telesystems I had also untilll recently but sold them....It's more about a safety net gazprom one has to look on for an investment..
1st it's a safe investment with almost zero risk unless world war III strikes upon us
2 nd the dividend hikes each yr, you basically get for free at this price....think they raised it with 2% or so this year but once all these pipelines are c'ing online I guess the dividends between now and 2020 will be double the amount as of today.....building these pipelines is a multi billion dollar cost..so I guess once these costs are out of the way, more profits will arise for current shareholders.
Gazprom was normally planning to distribute 50% of there net profits to the shareholders, but like I said it in the previous sentence....these boosts are on a hold while building the pipeline network in different areas of the world now...
3 it's safe to put a decent amount of money into it without caring or thinking you will wake up the next day with a monster loss...as it is with many other investments sure bets are hard to find.
4 Time and patience is all one need overhere, don't mind waiting 3-4 yrs quadruppling my initial investment, I know it will get there ....the timeline is alway's a friend in decent investments
5 Putin said Gazprom will restore it's own value when that moment arises...

I would not say zero risk. I think that the biggest risk is that the Russian Government is the major shareholder (i think they own more than 50% if I remember right) and they also have political control. Although probably unlikely to happen, they can easily nationalize Gazprom back into the ownership of the Russian people and leave the shareholders with nothing.

they would still need to buyout the other shareholders in here, probably at the shareprice at that current time...if it would occur ofcourse...chance is slim, a lot is at stake here there not going to kill there golden goose providing europe with natural gas...
