Elon vs Whitney Tilson, Round 2

I'm a Flex Alliance subscriber to Stansberry Research and watched all the marketing of Tilson and read all of his articles over perhaps 4 wks. I also attended the webinar panel debate. He makes good points about Tesla as Porter Stansberry has written about extensively as well. Tesla is now cashed up. If the economy wasn't going to dump by the end of next year, I still see Tesla as a long shot to make it. They will have significant competition from the auto industry soon. Something like 150 electric vehicles have been announced. I'm not sure how Tesla will be able to compete in an industry that "enjoys" extraordinarily low margins. I've worked in the auto industry for since 1996. It's one of the toughest industries in the world. It now has competition and threats from all kinds of electric start-ups. Why anyone would enter an ultra low margin and capital intensive business I have no idea. Then we have the announcement last week that Google's Waymo will start producing cars in Michigan starting next year. The arrogance is incredible to think a search company can someone compete producing autos is incredible. It won't end well for Tesla, Waymo or the auto industry.
