how much did you spend to get setup? how long has this been mineable for?

Mining for first day. So not much to say about profit.
In setup provided in that guide you account are connected to mining and you receive funds directly to account. Keep in mind mining use CPU (not GPU).
Not so difficult to setup, but you need to be patient and attentive during setup. For me it took approx 4-5hours from the scratch, with no previous experience in mining
