Ostrich farm has been grown commercially in Nawabganj of Dinajpur. In the village of Molipara (Nayapara) of Golapganj union of the upazila, this farm was constructed by Nawabganj Upazila Sadar. Jalil's daughter Arzuman Ara Eco-Agro Farm has named the farm. Although there are ostrich for exhibiting at different entertainment centers in the country or in any institute, ostrich is not observed commercially anywhere in the country. On September 25 last year, 24 ostrich children from South Africa's mother breeders imported three lakh 60 thousand rupees and octopuses were started in eco-farm. The age of ostrich in this farm is six months and weighing 80 to 90 kg. Arjuman Ara said, an ostrich was slaughtered a few days ago, there were about 40 kg of meat. Regarding this, Arjuman said, he has been performing ostrich as an alternative to cow and goat. In his language, a cow gives only one calf a year. An ostrich provides about 50 to 70 eggs a year, from which it is possible to get at least 50 children. According to him, cholesterol-free is the international market price of ostrich meat at $ 90 per kg. Very delicious to eat The ostrich can run continuously at a speed of 70 kilometers. Generally, they start laying eggs at two and a half to three years of age. Vegetables and feed are being used as food. The entrepreneur said, 'My farm has its own egg-laying machine, so I think that after feeding ostrich eggs to my farm's own machine, one child will be sold for 8 to 10 thousand taka'. Upazila livestock officer said. Nasirul Islam said they are going to give suggestions on the ostriches, including medical treatment. In his words, it is possible to gain financially by ostrich. Asked why ostrich farmed farm, Arjuman Ara said, he has visited Malaysia and Nepal. Experience ostrich there. And he thinks this business is more beneficial than other businesses, and because of its food being very easy, he became interested in ostrich farming. It is to be noted that Arjuman Ara started the farm with only 100 turkey chickens from the month of November 2016. Currently there are turkey chickens on its farm, about two and a half thousand.
