Iodine or Antibiotics????

Most people turn to the doctor at the first sight of any flu or cold symptom. A visit to the doctor always consists of the same
thing. Check your temperature, check symptoms and prescribe antibiotics. What i like is that the mainstream medical industry administers the same thing for every person with similar symptoms.

It is a known issue that antibiotic resistance is a huge problem. We have been exposed and ingested (our food) so many antibiotics that our body no longer reacts to these once effective treatments. It is commonly known that most women, after going through a few weeks of antibiotics tend to develop yeast infections. So not only do antibiotics not eliminate yeast (a common culprit of infections), but they tend to add to the problem.

What most of us don't know is that antibiotics not only kill the infection, but also kills what is good in our system. The word "anti" means against and biotics means "life or biology". Surely you can derive a conclusive definition of this on your own.

Antibiotics are known to have no effect on yeast and on occasion have been shown to create harm and even death. This is where iodine enters. Iodine is known and proven to be one of the best anti-fungal, antiviral, antibacterial, mold and yeast deterrent and cure. Antibiotics have also been linked to increase in sudden cardiac death. They can also lead to liver failure (as most pharmaceutical options do).

Not only is iodine great for the aforementioned, it is of great importance when it comes to a gland we call the thyroid. The thyroid is a regulator of the immune system. When the thyroid is out of whack, the first thing to suffer is the immune system, which pretty much throws off the rest of the anatomy. It is therefore no coincidence that without adequate iodine, the thyroid cannot thrive and function properly.

In the right form and dose (usually nascent iodine is the best choice), iodine should be your first line of defense in warding off most infections whether of a fungal, viral, bacterial, yeast or mold nature. More and more studies are showing that of all the antiseptic preparations that are suitable for human use, only iodine is capable of destroying all pathogens. Most pathogens are destroyed withing 15-30 seconds of coming into contact with iodine.

All this to say that between using an antibiotic (literally translated into "anti life") and and a life serving substance (iodine) to treat the same infection, i know where my allegiance lies. Iodine kills single celled organisms tin conjunction with the amino acids tyrosine or histidine. Again, nature and evolution have given us great resources for controlling and deterring pathogenic life forms. The least we can do is support and show faith in what Mother Nature has provided us and empowered us with in order to protect ourselves the way antibiotics cannot.

God Bless.
