This is a clear explanation of the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), which works a little like BitTorrent, and is a way of decentralising the internet.
The film first explains in basic terms how the current internet works, why it is not satisfactory, and then shows how IPFS solves many of the problems.
This is definitely one of the better projects out there right now, with good development teams, strong theoretical underpinnings, and a truly workable system.
If you want to understand how it works this is a fairly good introduction to the subject, but I also encourage following up with videos found on the Filecoin website.
