This issue recently surfaced, again, after 32 year old Wiley Day was thrown to the floor after being shocked by his charger extension cord. Resident of Huntsville, Alabama, Day plugged his iPhone 7 so he can view his social media page before heading to bed. During his sleep, his dog tag touched the charger and extension cord burning his neck.
Parents, even your children can be endanger due to ignorance and negligence. In 2016, a mother was asleep while her child was in possession of a smartphone (plugged to the wall). After she woke up, she noticed how quiet her child was. After a few seconds, she rushed towards the child and noticed her little one wasn’t breathing and had no pulse. The mother rushed her child to the hospital, but it was too late.
Lastly, a girl suffered second-degree burns around her neck after the charger accidentally touched her metal necklace. There have been incidents of battery explosions, phone exploding while charging, and electrocuted while talking and charging. In the end, be careful.
