Players' auction for the 11th season of the Indian Premier League continues in Bangalore today. Firstly, the Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan was bought for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 5.2 crore, while the West Indian smash batsman Chris Gayle is still unconsolidated.
The IPL auction will run till Sunday, in which franchise owners of 8 teams will bid for 182 players. So far Ben Stokes is the most expensive player, who has bought Rajasthan Royals 12.5 million.
Let me tell you that this time the highest base price in the auction is Rs 2 crores, which includes about 36 players. On the other hand, the base price of 1.5 million and 75 lakhs and 50 lakhs has been kept.
The auction has returned 18 players including Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja to Chennai Super Kings, Rishabh Pant, Chris Morris, Shreyas Iyer, Delhi Daredevils, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jaspreet Bumrah, Mumbai Indians Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, Sarfaraz Khan, Royal Challenge Bangalore, Sunil Narine, Russell KKR, David Warren, Bhuvnesh Kumar Sunray Jays Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab, Akshar Patel and Steven Smith have been retained by Rajasthan Royals.
