This year IPL Aucation take place on January 27 and 28 in Bangalore.So today was the first day of Aucation.A total of 1122 players have registered their name for the IPL auction 2018. BCCI, announced a list of 578 players who will be going under the hammer on the auction day. Out of 578, a total of 360 players are Indians.Today 27th January , 109 players went under the hammer, 78 were sold and 31 remained unsold.Gayle, Root, Vijay, Amla, Guptill, Faulkner, Parthiv, Bairstow went unsold in the first round.

The England bowler Mark Wood was also a late selection for Chennai and I think he could prove to be a really good signing for them. They look like they have a lot of options with the ball this year. I've written a post about Mark Wood here
