The two IPOs that came last week to market were well-received which is a welcome sign to what was a struggling IPO market to start the year.
ShockWave Medical (SWAV) upsized its transaction and priced $1.00 above range. The $17.00 issue price printed a $24.80 open -- good for a 45.9% move at first trade. SWAV traded higher and crossed above $32.00 on its second day for more than a 90% gain in its opening week.
TheChinese IPO drought came to an end after 84 days when Futu Holdings (FHL) priced a downsized IPO (7.5mm ADSs from 10.3mm ADSs) at the high-end of the range, $12.00. FHL opened with a first trade of $14.76 for a gain of 23.0% at first trade.
And that will be followed with the highly anticipated Lyft IPO aproximately the week 18/3. Later i will try describe it and will take part in it.
