First blood to New Zealand vs Ireland (RWC) HT

New Zealand got a soft penalty, and then several Irish mistakes, causes New Zealand to score a try, conversion and lead 10 - 0 after 15 minutes.

Ireland have sparks of something but handling is pretty bad so far, knock ons and turnovers.

Ireland got a penalty advantage and after the penalty was called someone was picked up on the mic saying fucking hell. Sexton failed to make touch off a penalty from the half way line. Brutal kick. Too optimistic going for the corner. NZ player jumped in the air and kept the ball in.

NZ in for 2nd try after 19 minutes. 15-0; kick to come. 17-0. Great kick from out beside the touch line.

Awful mistakes by Ireland being punished by All blacks.
Ireland making brutal error after error.

13 Green Ringrose G makes a high tackle grabbing the neck. SO UTTERLY STUPID. give away another penalty and effectively a TRY why d

Cian Healy in a shock to no one gives away a penalty.

lump, was constantly collapsing scrums in the 6 nations this year or last as far as I remember

Sexton cost Ireland the 3rd try loose pass to no one or a loss of the ball in the tackle backwards and Ireland had no one covering behind. 22-0, pending TMO.
TMO and Nigel Ownes decide it is a try, match effectively over. Conversion missed 22-0 now after 33 mins.

Conor Murray knocks it on.just past half way. Ireland so so so poor.

Ireland had an advantage in their half and then knocked the ball on when advantage was over.
Conor Murray does a tackle around the neck and gives a penalty away.

NZ make a second mistake by kicking the penalty long.

Ireland have a penalty outside the 22 and should get into touch adn go for a try. Lineout 5 metres out.

Green tackled off the ball by 8 new zealand. TMO checking if Ireland player number 6 tackled a player on the ground with his sholder. Which looks illegal to me. so Ireland's penalty earned gets reversed. But it's bollox that the first penalty wasn't just given before the 2nd infringement was made.

22-0 at HT. Lat decision was dodgy by Nigel Owens. Number 6 green shouldn't have been in a positiion to make an illegal tackle like that as original penalty should just have been rewarded.

Joe Schmidt's reputation going down the pan. His final half time team talk in charge of Ireland is coming up.

Further thoughts on the game as a whole:
Late tackles and high tackles and high late tackles have to be punished more harshly.
Scrums should be abolished in rugby union. Seems very dangerous for heads and so shit to watch.
Results in friendly internationals against New Zealand are just that friendlies. Meaningless to beat them in a friendly twice and not to show up when it matters.
