IS IT A HOUSE OR A WORLD?

Let's start! Destination: Lofoten Islands by motorbike

It is a dreamed, sweaty, studied journey. For months we have imagined the departure and the taste of the adventure that awaits us.

The bike is loaded, we have everything. The technical clothing, the emergency kit, very few clothes changes ( ... ) and two beautiful smiles. And so much bullshit yet to shoot. Neither one wanted the intercom in the helmets, we say too many when we are not in motion.

We look at Marco and I, we have two rules on this trip . The first is that the photographs are made from the waist up because the motorcycle pants are obscene, they are very bad. When I tried them I felt like a real toilet . So much so that when I put my jeans back I felt I was too thin. For the same reason the second rule was born: every half hour we will say that we are so beautiful.

The bike is a Yamaha XJ6 Diversion, coupons, controlled, tires in excellent condition. Marco has replaced the saddle which is now in faux leather and dries quickly in the frequent rainy days of Norwegian summer. He also had a USB socket on the handlebar to charge the cell and the navigator.

We have the new helmets, the jacket conforms to the norms of international ugliness , the rain suits that transform us into two soft Gabibbi, even the rainproof coats. We are ready for everything.

I have also learned some new words in Norwegian and when you will see what kind of itinerary I have prepared you will understand why.

Let's start.

It will take us two weeks to go all the way to Lörrach, between Switzerland and Germany, from there take a train and load the bike to Hamburg. Hamburg - Kiel by motorbike and from Kiel ferry to Oslo. Then on motorcycles to the Lofoten Islands studying every inch of the Norwegian fjords and returning to Oslo via the fastest Sweden. From Oslo again ferry to Kiel and away as well as to the first leg.

In total we are talking about 8,000 km of which about 1,500 by ferry and 1,600 by train. We therefore have to do about 5,000 km in motion. We can not wait.

Come on, let's go!

"To infinity and beyond!"
