Last week you may have seen an alarming headline that Jordan was readying for war with Israel by a few misleading news companies exaggerating the truth. While yes, Jordan was simulating a military drill simulating their tactics against an Israeli invasion, there is a large difference between a defense and an offense, which they were demonstrating their defenses to the King of Jordan. Does this mean Jordan couldn't strike someday? Of course not. Jordan's message to Israel: Our anger with you is real, but some steps are meant to vent public pressure.

One of the tactics practiced was a preventative strike that would blow up the Jordan River bridges. King Abdullah is furious with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ever since he declared Israel’s plan to annex the Jordan Valley before the elections in September, but there is usually a much higher climb to war for well-developed regions.
The Jordanians also conveyed the message by insisting on retaking the lands at Naharayim and near Moshav Tzofar in the Arava, 25 years after signing the peace treaty with Israel.
Efforts to try to reduce the tension include talk of a possible visit to Jordan by President Reuven Rivlin.
Abdullah has also been forced to back down following mass demonstrations against tax hikes and an intense teachers strike.
Raising the tension with Israel, therefore, is a bone being thrown to the opposition. Israel has actually received messages to this effect from the palace: Our anger with you is real, but some of the public steps we’re taking stem from domestic constraints.
While most of the aforementioned articles used deceiving headlines, it isn't to rule out a possible conflict as most of the world seems to have been having issues with Israel and it is known that in the final days all of their enemies will gather against them.
