"Do you support liberal values?"
The conflict regarding Israel is the perfect example of something that's simple until you get into the weeds; but, after you get through the weeds, and look back, it was always really simple.
Even if all of the false history were true, Israel should be supported by liberals. Even if claims as stupid as Israeli Jews being European colonizers were true, that doesn't change the moral calculation for anyone who holds liberal values.
Do you want gay people to have full adoption rights; or, do you want them to be murdered? Do you want women to be allowed to prosper in business; or, do you want them in beekeeper outfits and forced to stay at home? Do you want some semblance of free speech (actually, a lot of you probably don't)? Do you want ethnic diversity and religious liberty?
If you do, that's 100% Israel.
If you get rid of Israel and replace it with the Palestinian authority, you get gay people thrown off rooftops, trans people burned to death, Jews murdered or expelled because of their ethnicity (which, again, a lot of you want), and you get a theocracy.
The thing is, none of you are actually liberals. You're just a different brand of fascist.
You can't be a liberal unless you support liberal values.
Israel isn't perfect; but, Israel is the only liberal country in the region.
It's nonsensical, regardless of the bullshit that you believe about history, to support the destruction of the one liberal nation in the region in order to replace it with a regime that makes Donald Trump look like AOC.
