"Great Day for Peace" for US Embassy Opening as 43 Palestinians Killed and 2200 Injured

The U.S. Embassy in Israel has been relocated to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, signaling the status of Jerusalem as the "true" capitol of Israel. As the ceremony for the new embassy open took place, protesters could be heard outside objecting to this appropriation of Jerusalem.

As Gazans overtook a key checkpoint used to regulate movement into the region, Israeli forces fired and killed 43 to 52 people so far according to various news sources. Palestinian activists and officials say Israeli forces used disproportionate force by firing on unarmed protesters. Israel says their actions are justified as they were responding to people "preparing acts of terror" and carrying semi-automatic weapons.

As usual, the U.S. is unconcerned about the loss of Palestinian life. The Trump administration knew protests would occur with the relocation of the embassy, but went on anyways in support of Israel's occupation and domination of the area. The move signals more support of the Israeli Zionist regime, and not being concerned with working on a peaceful solution that takes Palestinians into consideration. Jerusalem is now on it's way to being the Israeli capitol.

This move to take Jerusalem for Israel alone has been objected by most Palestinians, and is another barrier to real peace. Protests within the Israeli controlled parts of Jerusalem were peaceful, but other parts sparked larger unrest. Over 35,000 Palestinians protested in 12 different locations, with most clashes between Israeli forces happening in Gaza.

Tuesday May 15th will be the 70th anniversary of the Nakba Day, where there was a mass exodus of Palestinians from their homes during the establishment of the state of Israel. There has been a six-week long "March of Return" demonstration leading up to the Nakba Day commemoration.

Israel recently celebrated it's 70th year of existence, having been created on May 12, 1948. It has since occupied much of the preexisting Palestinian land and continued to encroach and steal land for it's ever-expanding settlements. Peace in the region has been hard to achieve as a result.

As the former country of Palestine shrinks since the creation of Israel in 1948, Israel grows. Palestinians commemorate a terrible time in their past, the Nakba Day, while Israel celebrates it's 70th year, created through domination and oppression of the people the land was taken from. Meanwhile the U.S. promotes Israel dominance and supports the occupiers who continue to take more land. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it was a "great day for peace" as the U.S. Embassy opening coincided with Israel birthday.

Israel isn't going anywhere. But things need to change in the region. Many Israelis recognize the errors of the past and don't want the current governmental authoritarian policies to represent them. But the far-right has long been dominant in Israel. Maybe someday that will change...

They're pretty much occupying all of preexisting Palestinian lands... The Palestinians don't have much left at all. Zionism is difficult to protest without being called an anti-semite... the Zionists have stolen the narrative. They also have one of the most powerful lobbys in Washington. This is all part of a plan going back to the 19th century to cause strife in the region bringing on WWIII!

When that statement comes up "anti-semite" and is aimed at me, I say "I think Palestinians are marvellous people, so how can I be anti-Semitic?" And you just highlighted the main problem, lobbyists, governments should not work via lobbying and cash in hand fraud, nor should AIPAC determine American foreign policy either, though they clearly do.

Right... Semitic is a language group that originates in that part of the world and includes much more than Hebrew. BUT, being a street kid from Boston, I usually just go with the old standby: Go fuck yourself motherfucker!!!

lol your answer is better than mine, though we both close the subject down, as they do not want to debate me neither.

What is crazy is that semantics are in play when it comes to who is a Semite to begin with.
Look here The Jews are the most ANTI-semitic people on the earth GO figure

LOL like your style.

Yup. Zionism is an old idea, and with the amassing of wealth in times past they were able to buy up lots of land before they self-declared themselves a country amidst a preexisting one.

They're pretty much occupying all of preexisting Palestinian lands...

Nope
They have %78 of british mandate palestine it's called Jordan
Why do you begrudge the the other %22?

You mean the Zionists... Oh I don't know, maybe because Palestine wasn't Britain's so they couldn't "give it away" (sell it to the Rothschilds) Or maybe because it was taken over by murderous thugs who whine about anti-semitism every time someone brings it up.

No the Arabs received %78 of british mandate palestine, do you dispute the British creation of Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Syria? Those countries were often taken over by Murderous Thugs.

I haven't brought up anti-semitism even once.

Zionists? I'm much more concerned with the Vaticanists and Islamists both groups have a proven track record of killing on a mass scale.

I'm against ists of any kind... I just question Britain's authority to "give" away anything. The British Empire (that still exists) is the biggest blight on the world today. Zionism has nothing to do with the Jews. It's the Rothschilds that still control the world economy through the City of London Corp. There is an axis of evil running the world through London, the Vatican and Washington/NYC (Wall St.) Islamists are just dupes

The Idea that Britain gave Israel to the jews is actually wrong, indeed they promised it to them but never delivered. Ottomans sold them land(overpriced malarial swampland), Britain stopped jews from entering all through world war two and collaborated with the Nazi Arab palestinian leadership.
It was the UN that created Israel, just like the UN created Pakistan a year later.
Nobodies complaining about Pakistan or Pakistan's many evil deeds.
What does the Axis of Evil you mention have to do with Israel?

Because it belongs to the Rothschild diaspora... they control the world economy from London. "Give me control of a nation's money supply and I care not who makes its laws."

They control Israel and nobody gave "the Jews" anything. There's a huge difference between Jews (a religion) and Zionism (a political movement)

Every country (almost) has a Federal Reserve type bank, so if they control Israel they also control every other country under that system.
What Zionism means to people who don't use it as a shorthand for ZOG is the Jewish nation having sovereignty over Israel.
What do you mean when you say Zionist?

are you talking about Palestine when it was a geopolitical entity under British administration or prior to that when it was controlled by the Ottomans or when exactly?

Very sad day! As for the people of Israel, some of them realize things need to change, but so few still. The protests in Tel Aviv against Netanyahu were big, but not big enough and with the level of support the current prime minster enjoys from his buddy in Washington I'm afraid people will lose heart. Netanyahu isn't going anywhere for the time being.

Yeah, it's been a long era of U.S. support for the occupying regime...

Very well written attack against the propaganda and murder going on in Palestine. There is and never will be land for the Israel people. For one they are and always have been a people not a land. The other thing is the Zionism is not a religion. It is however a criminal cartel.

Good points hehe. Neturei Karta talks about similar positions, of how "God" cast them out to be a people without a nation forever. That's just a story to validate and justify how things happened in their history though, heh. Zionism is a cartel yeah, lots of ppl support it :/

signaling the status of Jerusalem as the "true" capitol of Israel

Trust me this is signaling that Israel is the only State and Jerusalem the city seat of the one world government.
I been telling people to prepare for this for 20 years. Just wait till the next stage is set.

it is so sad to see, and no real solution on the horizon. Nationalism is a cancer that leads to the violent suppression of the perceived enemies. But we are all unique and ultimately share a common fate.

Nationalism has it's pros and cons. One pro is that i's a barrier to globalization and one world governance and centralized control. EU vs nations is a good example of how it goes awry.

yeah i guess that is one advantage of nationalism. The right does oppose one-world gov while many of the left quite like the idea. Good that there are enough right wingers protecting us from this horror.

But it does not need nationalism for that. Nations should be broken down to the regional level and then ultimately to the individual. One world-gov is the extreme of maximum centralisation, anarchy is maximal decentralisation and national states sit inbetween, still leaning quite for to centralisation.

Indeed things need to change. But real peace will never come to that region. blessings @krnel.

The only barrier to peace is foreign funding of Islamic Supremacists who's declared goal is the destruction of Israel.

may god bless them...

Are Christians peace lovers?

Hopefully the problems that occur between Israel and Palestine can be solved. Will see so many victims who died.

launching rocks with slings and flying incendiary devices are "protesting"?
even on CNN they were not "unarmed".

Here is why the embassy is such a big deal and why it is actually key for peace: The Palestinians and others have a position that Israel must not be allowed to exist. They can't have that position and peace. That's not going to work, the Israelis will not leave, so they are going to have to accept that Israel is a sovereign state and the first step to that is the US accepting that Israel is a sovereign state. A sovereign state can establish its own capital and putting the US embassy there is a symbol of our acknowledgment of that.

This is why moving the embassy is something the last 4 or 5 US presidents have all said was essential and that they were going to do. Donald Trump got it done. Some people took rocks and kites with firebombs to attack people with guns because they were mad about it and lost, that's a shame that they don't want peace.
