A New Messianic Moshav in Israel?

My wife and I are both Messianic Jews, who come from Christian upbringing.

It sounds strange to some, I know - but there area actually a few million just like us, all over the world. Many, like us, plan to "make aliyah" - to emigrate to Israel. This, of course, comes with some built-in obstacles, the biggest of which is that, under current Israeli laws, messianic Jews are not considered as being eligible to make aliyah under the right-of-return rule.

It seems to me, that one very good alternative to making aliyah based on the right-of-return rule, is to start our own moshav of messianic believers in Yeshua, much as the good folks at Yad Hashmonah have done.

Collectively, we will have the strength to do this. Here are three things in our favor:

• The strength of numbers: I hope to get at least a couple hundred like-minded individuals/families to join us in this endeavor.

• The strength of finances: We'll collectively purchase land, install infrastructure, and build our homes on that land. A messianic moshav.

• The strength of the hand of Adonai - I believe the Lord is leading us to start this initiative, as a witness to the world of the power of Yeshua hamashiach.
