Pride Against Israel

I'm Lebanese.

I've been living in Lebanon for the better part of my life and yet I am fully aware that nearly the whole world is affected in one way or the other by US foreign policies that represent the US-based corporatocracy (as so eloquently described by John Perkins in his book Confessions of an Economic Hitman). Lebanon is not very different from these countries that are affected by these hegemonic policies.

Yet, I cannot but feel a sense of great pride and honor when I reflect upon the victories that our Lebanese Resistance has garnered throughout the past 17 years (and counting). I know that what I am saying now may seem irrelevant to many out there...yet, when you realize who it is we're up against and how we've managed to mop the floor with them twice, it'll start to make sense...we are up against Israel. Yep, US, Western-backed, Zionist, Talmudic, apartheid-stricken, hegemonic, armed-to-the-back-teeth, "we are God's chosen people" Israel...thank God there is only one of it around.

To make me feel even more proud, I simply have to go through the list of events that have taken place during the past few years, ever since Israel, the US, Turkey, the EU and their crony Gulf states created ISIS (and its offshoots) then let them loose throughout the Middle East. Not only has the Lebanese Resistance managed to put Israel at bay and put a muzzle on their mouths but they managed to stave off an invasion by thousands of US armed, head-chopping, woman-raping, Wahhabi terrorists intent on annihilating any form of anti-Israeli force in Lebanon, Syria and all the way to Iran. Do you have any idea just how massive of a challenge that was? The Lebanese Resistance, Hezbollah, has sacrificed hundreds of selfless young men who have flocked to Syria to fight the US proxy terrorists before they come to Lebanon...and they succeeded.

I may have countless problems in my country and a ruling bunch of corrupt US, Saudi puppets but this all pales in light of my pride when I think of how butt-hurt the Israelis are when they see most of their decade-long efforts going down the drain since they didn't take into account that there are people out there who are so intent to defending their land and keeping their eyes on the true enemy: Israel.

Tomorrow marks this year's Jerusalem Day (coinciding with the last Friday of the month of Ramadan) and on that day, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah's Secretary General, will deliver his annual speech on that day...I guess I know what Netenyahu and Israel's top brass will be watching tomorrow...get the popcorn ready, Bibi...it's gonna be a good one!

You my friend are very confused. Might want to get some actual facts instead of just repeating talking points from a group marked as a terrorist organization by the world.

Hey Zarcul,

Naturally, I don't know where you're from but it does seem to me that your erroneous, broad generalization that Hezbollah is classified by "the world" as a terrorist organization means that you are most likely from one of the countries that accept that classification. On the other hand, there are other countries (China, Russia and India just to name a few) that happen to be home to more than 50% or so of the world's population that regard Hezbollah as it truly is: a legitimate Lebanese resistance to an illegal occupation of its land.

In addition, I'd like to point your attention to the fact that Hezbollah also has elected officials representing it in the Lebanese parliament, not to mention ministers in the government.

That being said, and far from Israel and the USSA's hegemonic doctrine of "Might is Right"; we believe that "Right is Might"; therefore, I care not should the whole world regard Hezbollah as a terrorist organization (which is still a broad, debatable term in itself upon which there is no unanimity). The fact remains that Israel is an apartheid, terrorist, sectarian state built on the aggressive foundations expressed clearly in Oded Yinon's "A Strategy for Israel in the 1980's" (I highly recommend that you read it, by the way) and an entity that thrives on aggression, oppression and sowing discord among its neighboring states so if a large number of my country's men and women choose to stand up to this terrorist state of Israel and put it at bay then, by all means, I care not what "the world" calls it...I know what it is and that is all I need.
