I am really tired of all the racists and anti-semites in the cryptocurrency community. I thought this community will bring a mindset of friendship and peace to it's members but we can still see the racism and bigotry that you see elsewhere. Just the other day I saw a post on Bitcointalk where some racist was saying horrible things against black people, there are only a few black people in the community that I know of yet they already have to suffer the effects of racism. But anti-semitism is just rampant in this community, not a day goes by that I don't see an anti-semitic post on Bitcointalk or even here on Steemit. Whenever the project leader of a crypto is Jewish, you will already see a myriad of anti-semites attacking him with racist remarks for no reason whatsoever but just intolerance and hatred.

The anti-semitism in this crypto community is disgusting, it really makes me sick to even see such barbaric things in this englightened age. I really wish people would grow up and start to embrace the friendship that this community could bring if the hatred stops.

In this article I am going to demonstrate how much positive contribution did the Jewish and Israeli scientists do to the cryptocurrency community, and the bigots would quickly realize that they should be grateful to these scientists for their groundbreaking research and contribution to this field.

Israel is just a small country surrounded by very intolerant anti-semites, yet it is an innovation power-house, it has still accomplished things that other groups of people could not, with half the resources and double the difficulty, so bravo to them.

And look there is even a Libertarian case to be made here, most of the land was purchased in the 19th/20th century by private Jewish settlers, the rest of it was won in the defensive wars that followed. So it's basically private property purchased legitimately, and the wars that followed were defensive, the entire arab world ganged up on them, but they won. Whether there is a state or not that is a different topic, but the land is pretty much Jewish land with a long heritage, I think that is undeniable. It was lost for some time and then it got reclaimed, I think that is obvious.

I am not going to go into detail on the history, I think it's just pretty remarcable that such a small community can achieve so much while also contributing a lot of innovation and technology to the rest of the world.

So let's see who were the key players that contributed a lot to the tech behind cryptocurrencies:

1) Adi Shamir

Adi Shamir is an Israeli cryptographer who is well known for inventing RSA. If you don't know what that is, it's a public key encryption scheme, that if you use any kind of e-mail encryption, it's probably RSA based. Things like GPG use RSA encryption. So it's a good chance that you are already using RSA without even knowing it, most service providers probably also use it on your behalf. It's very strong, very well tested. So this is a huge positive achievement for security.

But what is really important for cryptos is that Shamir has also invented the Shamir's Secret Sharing algorithm. This is the core math behind Multisignature Addresses. So this is enormous contribution to cryptocurrencies, without this invention there would be no multisig wallets.

Do you use an exchange? Do you store cryptocurrencies on an online website like a store or a casino or a wallet provider? Then your money is probably stored in multisignature wallets, based on Shamir's invention. And it has been proven to be very secure, a lot of people in the crypto community rely on this technology and barely anyone knows it's inventor. Now you do.

2) Neal Koblitz

Allegedly Jewish, I am not sure, but he did invent one of the most core parts of Bitcoin, the Koblitz Curve. Bitcoin uses a special variant of the Koblitz curve called Secp256k1 choosen by Satoshi himself, and this is very secure. Although not Quantum Secure it does provide very good protection against hackers.

The Secp256k1 Koblitz curve is the wall between the private and the public key. So a spend Bitcoin address only has this algorithm to protect your money from a hacker. And so far it stands strong, given that hackers had 8 years to crack one of Satoshis old addresses holding millions of BTC, they haven't succeeded yet. So your Bitcoins are also safe behind this wall.

3) Bruce Schneier

Schneier is an American Jewish cryptographer, known for Twofish which was a finalist in the AES competition so it can be considered just as good as the Rijndael algorithm, but unfortunately it didn't won the competition.

He also participated and influenced many cryptographers and security experts in the field, he is a privacy advocate and has probably influenced the early developers on cryptocurrencies massively, though indirectly.

• And many more, not just scientists but entrepreneurs, programmers, investors and so on..... We should not forget about Aaron Swartz either who literally gave his life for the freedom of the internet which is largely what cryptocurrencies are about.

Conclusion

So I really can't believe that there is anti-semitism in this community when we have so much to thank Jewish people to for their contributions to this community. There were many other cryptographers and mathematicians in the early days all of them contributing indirectly in some ways. Bitcoin didn't just came out by itself alone, there had to be many other precedents in math and cryptography before Satoshi could have put it together. Satoshi only invented the Blockchain, the cryptography behind it was invented by others, largely these people.

So I really hope people will be more thankful to the people who worked hard to create this community regardless of race, ethnicity or religion. People should really promote friendship and peace here, there is absolutely no room here for infighting based on discriminatory hatred.
