One of Istanbul’s most iconic building is the Haydarpasa Railway Station. It was built during the reign of Ottoman Sultan Abdülhamid II.
The station was mainly built by German architects Otto Ritter and Helmuth Cuno. The Station launched as the starting point of the Istanbul-Baghdad railway. Many of the station’s sections and the passenger lounge were opened on Aug. 19, 1908.
