Steemit Marketplace

Not to beat a dead horse or anything because I'm new to Steemit or the esteem app rather, but will we ever see a steemit marketplace? Where we could trade our steem coins for items obviously this idea has been done with paper currency but it'd be cool to have it integrated on a site like this as well given the steempower could let you know who sells more which would indicate some form of reliability unlike on some of these other marketplace apps or even facebook.
