Hike to Arzino waterfalls --- Escursione alle cascate del Arzino eng-ita

Hello this will be a short story of the amazing hike i had some time ago.
These waterfalls are situated in italy, north east alps in FVG almost 40 min from Tolmezzo along the Sp1.

Summer of 2016, Ferragosto period and usually me and my friends do a bbq and just hang out but this time was just me and my best friend. We decided to google a place and go, well after some time i found this location, the pictures amazed us and we set our head to go there.

Fast forward few days it's 7.30 am and we depart from my place. map at hand we reach Tolmezzo in 1 h . From there an old provincial road goes across a mountain and end up in this almost secluded valley(me wet only 1 car on the way there on a holly day where everybody in Italy swarms out of the towns to have some relax), after a bunch of hairpin turns and super steep sections of this road we reached a small fork in the last hairpin turn that would lead us up the valley.

The road leading there..well lets say that is a bit tight, we had a small car and even with that you drive carefully to avoid rock walls on one side and a ditch on the other but all went well we didn't meet any other cars and we got to the start of the trail around 9.30.

Nothing major happened so there isn't much to write but will let the pictures speak for it :D it's a really lovely place, really calm and not really popular, we meet around 10 ppl and was ferragosto, so i let you imagine the solitude of the place during a work week :D

After a bunch of hours we got back to the car and decided to take a different road back home, that would lead us down the valley towards San Daniele the famous italian town for ham :)

Ciao, questa sarà una breve storia su questa mia escursione.
Queste cascate si trovano in Italia, Alpi nord-orientali in FVG a quasi 40 minuti da Tolmezzo lungo la Sp1.

Estate del 2016, periodo di Ferragosto e di solito io e i miei amici ci troviamo per un bbq e passiamo la giornata in compagnia, ma questa volta molti avevano altri impegni e siamo rimasti in 2, io e il mio migliore amico. Decidemmo di cercare su google un posto interessante dove andare e passare la giornata, beh, dopo un po 'di tempo ho trovato queste cascate, appena ho visto le foto del posto le ho condivise con il mio amico ed è stata una decisione istantanea. dobbiamo andarci!

Arriva il giorno di ferragosto e sono le 7.30 del mattino, partiamo da casa mia e con la mappa a portata di mano raggiungiamo Tolmezzo in 1 ora. Da Tolmezzo parte la sp1 che attraversa una linea di montagna e dopo svariate salite e tornanti si arriva a un bivio al interno di un tornante.

La strada che porta lì ... diciamo che è un po stretta, avevamo una macchina piccola con noi e anche con quella bisogna fare attenzione a non colpire pareti di roccia o finire nel dirupo, ma per fortuna non abbiamo incontrato nessuno e senza problemi arrivammo al inizio del percorso vs le 9.30.

Durante l escursione non è successo nulla di che essendo adatto a tutti come difficoltà, per questo lascerò la parola alle foto :)
Posto molto bello e isolato, nonostante fosse ferragosto abbiamo incontrato solo una decina di persone, durante una settimana lavorativa deve essere un deserto totale :D

Dopo un paio di ore ritornammo alla macchina e questa volta abbiamo scelto di percorrere una strada diversa per il ritorno, scendendo lungo la valle verso San Daniele la città famosa per i prosciutti.
