SteemitPoetryContest #16 Imagination/Immaginazione

This is my entry for SteemitPoetryContest #16 hosted by @terrycraft.

The theme for this week was Imagination

As I'm part of the Italian community on Steemit, and some of my Italian followers don't speak english, I decided to write the same ideas in a poem in Italian, obviously are not the same words, because it was impossible to make them rhyme ,
but the ideas expressed in the poem are the same.

It' our best tool
And, we're not aware of its power,
That's why they try to kill it in school
When we're just blossoming, like a flower.

If you learn to use your imagination
You can achieve everything,
But that's not good for the leaders of your nation
Nor for those that you're worshiping.

Through it, our future we create
Cause thoughts become things,
So learn to use it, do not wait
And all of you, will be kings.

È il nostro miglior strumento
E molti non conoscono il suo potere,
Ma ciò che immagino è ciò che divento
E potrei fare qualsiasi mestiere.

Però non sappiamo usare a pieno
La nostra immaginazione,
Anzi, la usiamo sempre meno
E preferiamo guardar la televisione.

Di certo, chi comanda
Ci preferisce ignoranti,
Così obbediremo, senza fare nessuna domanda,
E continueremo a pregare i santi.

Ma noi dobbiamo svegliarci
E ricominciare ad immaginare,
Solo così potremmo salvarci
E un nuovo mondo potremmo creare.
