Im back again with a new artwork, this is for my awesome wife, im very surprised to finish this painting in 2 days, its been fun making this painting, i might make more of this large canvas for my animal portraits, and i love how all the pieces worked together, i feel like a new man after this painting, its one of those days where every little thing works out right.
With this painting, i used Gold leaf for my background and i find it better to paint and undercoat orange color for gold, and then i also painted a blood moon and enclosed it with a flower of life sphere, that symbol Has been with me with all this positive changes thats been happening to me, and it also got me into painting, thats why i keep painting it to share this image and maybe change someone’s life, i think subliminally it unlocks wisdom and knowledge in our consciousness but in the material world we dont know its significance, I believe someday we will unlock more secrets.

so here is the timelapse video painting of this portrait for my awesome wife

This is my entry for @ivan.atman’s #italent, good thing i made it through the deadline. Here is a link to his contest https://steemit.com/art/@ivan.atman/italent-or-round-5-has-begun-or-all-talents-accepted-or-submit-your-entry-until-3-rd-of-june

Hello! A cool owl, she has a character. I would like to see her next to the peacock. You get a whole collection of paintings. Museums should stand in line to possess this collection ;)

Such a nice comment. Hopefully someday i can make this full time. And thanks for appreciating my artworks @marymik23

I'm sure that you will succeed! Send me an invitation to the exhibition later ;)

Super stunning erry.
Really good man and enjoyed your timelapse video too.
A nice discovery.

I am not spamming ya but I think you would enjoy this :D
There is an owl living at the school I work at here in Cambodia :)

So magical!!!!

That made me smile! What a majestic animal. I like it when you were petting the owl, its seem to really enjoy it! 🙏🏻 thanks for sharing

Ahh she loves a good petting.
she was rescued from a neglected life and she is much happier where she is now.
Plenty more to come of her erry.
Cheers buddy. :)

@jeffandhisguitar or should I say @jeffandhisowl in this case :)
That is one amazing creature right there :) are you volunteering or living full time in Cambodia?

Dam I wish I knew the owl before I signed up to Steemit.
That would of been my name Ivan :)
I live here man. 3 years now :D
It's cheap to live and the sun always shines.
A far cry from England buddy.
I just made a post on my apartment If y have time to view it :)

@jeffandhisguitar Oh that is great mate, I've been thinking of doing the same, I've been to Thailand already and lived there 2 months vacating a bit, I'm curious about how the residency works in Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos, most southeast is touch and go concerning that, maybe you can shine some light on that subject, online info is great and all, but first hand is the way to go

Sure man. If you have had a taste of Asia, the taste buds never stop tingling.
Things are so different here to where I'm from. Nobody cares.. lol

All I can say is that if you have a skill that you can teach someone, then you will find work. Simple as that.

The visa rules here are pretty laid back compared to other countries. Money talk as usual.

There are two visas you can apply for upon entry.
1 is a tourist visa which is valid for a month and the other is an business visa which you can extend.

I came here clueless and my mate said get a buisness visa so I ticked the box on the aeroplane and here I am.. lol
For a buisness visa you can pay for 3, 6 or a 12 month stay, but new laws require you to have a letter from a place of work.

So you could come here for a month on a tourist and find some employment in teaching or music, or whatever it is your passsionate about, and extend when the month runs out.
There are seperate visas for self employed persons which are common these days due to digital workers, but it's pretty straightforward if you have the cash.

A buisness visa costs an average $30 per month, but gets a bit cheaper the longer you stay..
I have extended mine last month for 6 months at a cost of $175.
Sunshine every day man and am free as a bird :D
Hope this helps.

The hardest thing is booking that one way ticket away from your comfort zone.
But once you do... there is no going back.
Cheers Ivan

Amazing info @jeffandhisguitar, yes it helps a ton. I was curious about the part of extending the visa by paying, now when you put it that way I can see why most of the SE Asian countries have dropped to one month for tourist visa while it was 3 months before, so they can have more visa revenue, which makes sense of course.

The part about business visa is a great idea, if I find a spot to settle in I will look into it :) Have you been visiting any adjacent countries as well, or do you like it the most in Cambodia?
