I would love to talk about my town: Teramo!

Teramo is in the middle of Italy, we can say properly "in the heart", in a wild and amazing region called Abruzzo. I have no word to describe the beauty of my region... I could only tell you that it has been defined "The little Tibet of Italy" and now I want to show it!

Now. Do you understand why Abruzzo has been called "The little Tibet of Italy"? :) So... Borning here makes me feel very lucky.

My Teramo has very ancient origins, dating back to the Piceni and the Pretuzi, which dominated until the 3rd century BC (before the Roman Empire) the area of Aprutium, from which the term "Abruzzo".
Like the term “Abruzzo” even the name of Teramo has its roots in Latin, in fact it was “Interamnia” that means “Land between two rivers”.

The town has a great artistic heritage, for instance Teramo's cathedral that is one of the most singular things that Italian art possesses ... its construction, begun in 1158, is in Romanesque style like the most of cathedrals in this area of Italy.

I love my town because of its peace, its ancient traditions, its surrounding landscape, food and wine... its pure air coming from the Appenines or from the sea... Yes, because we also have the sea: we can see the sea from the mountains!
For example from my home I can see the hills in front of me, the sea on the left and the mountains on the right!!!

The other side of the coin is that there are not many opportunities of working... but for the moment we are satisfied with this beauty of nature. You know? "Someone" said "The beauty will save the world".
