MILAN AT 35 ° C - 5 COOL TIPS !!

in italy •  7 years ago

"Milan has 1.3 million inhabitants ?!" I must confess, I'm hardly ever preparing for a trip. Even if I'm really up to speeding the Internet or a guide before my next trip - any information that I painstakingly read sorts out my brain with the utmost reliability carefully. That's why I have not even tried to find out anything about the city for my trip to Milan, except that they also in German Milano, Milano or Milan called (which was very helpful at the airport).

As soon as you are able to discover completely cool corners during a city trip (even in the 2nd largest city in Italy) I would like to show you today. In the hope that you will be less forgetful than me and maybe drop in on these 5 cool tips on your next summer trip to Milan.

  1. Cafés & Second Hand in Navigli

A city without a river makes it hard for me to leave a good impression. As I come from a city where the river is the linchpin of social life, I am always attracted to the blue stripes on the streets in foreign cities (especially on such hot days as my Milan visit) Map.

If you're into second hand, pretty little cafes and bars around the Naviglio (navigable waterway) Grande and the Naviglio Pavese are just right. Here you can walk for lunch as well as in the evening, and get a taste of Milan's trendy scene.

Metro station: Porta Genova (1,30 Euro each way)

  1. Shockolat ice cream
From a distance, we saw the snake in front of the small, inconspicuous business and wondered why so many people volunteer in this heat. But of course, at 35 ° C in the shade, that can only be one thing: ice cream!
Coincidentally, we stumbled upon one of the most popular and long-established ice cream shops in the city and that's exactly at the right time in the blazing noonday heat.

The chocolate varieties (from white to dark to pomegranate chocolates chocolate, there is everything!) Are a dream and not comparable to the vile chocolate ice cream, which one knows otherwise. I urge you to try something chocolate like raspberry or mango for the chocolate bomb - a fruit ice cream could not taste more authentic!

Better in the cup than in the waffle, then you have something longer of this grandiose ice cream!

  1. Look at the facades
One of my favorite tips, when I run completely uncoordinated through the streets of a new city: staring into the air. Or rather: facades look. And in Milan in particular, there are such incredibly beautiful buildings with magnificently pompous balconies, on which hang out hanging gardens, for which it is worthwhile for an hour without plan, but guaranteed to run with open mouth through the streets!

Anyone who needs a plan and wants to stare targeted holes in the air can also take a look at the notorious masterpiece "The Last Supper" by Leonardo Da Vinci here:

Advantage of the church in the summer heat: it is guaranteed cool!

  1. Fitness, chilling and turtles in the park
Do not feel like running around anymore? Off to the Sempione Park! At the small pond behind the castle, inspired by the local turtles, you can either let the sun shine on your stomach or hang in one of the perfectly shaped climbing tree branches and take a nap there.

Ambitious athletes compete with the fit Milanese, who are up to mischief here and do not shy away from the worst midday heat. Excessive outdoor viewing should be avoided, however, as you can expect to sweat it alone with a guarantee.

  1. Brera Design Quarter
Laue Milanese nights are best spent here. Between the Sempione Park and the Botanical Garden you will not only find the Astronomy Museum, but also one of the city's most exciting design districts. Throughout the year, there are exhibitions, installations and actions that make not only the day's life, but also the nights quite colorful.

Metro station: Lanza

And even if we are not in Sicily: Cannoli should never be missed on a visit to Italy! Luckily in Milan too!

In retrospect I heard from some people that they did not think Milan was cool at all. I can not confirm that so now brings me to the conclusion that sometimes it is perhaps better really without preparation and completely unbiased to come to a place.

Have you been to Milan?
And what did you like about the city?
maybe you did not like it?
