Two college students were killed in a road accident on the capital's Kurmitola road on Sunday noon. Eyewitnesses said the President of the bus from Jabal, Mirpur, competed in two buses of Noor Paribahan. Zillur Rahman was coming over the flyover. At the end of the flyover, a group of students were standing beside the road. In this, a bus flew down from the flyover and stopped the students standing there. Two students died on the spot. Besides, several people were injured.

The deceased were identified as Dia Khanam Mim, Eleventh Class student of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College, and Abdul Karim, a Class X student.

After the incident, students and school students of different areas including the road blockade blocked roads and protested. The capital of Dhaka was almost stagnant due to the protests on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, a meeting was held in the premises of the Prime Minister's Office with all concerned organizations including Road Transport and Highways Department, BRTA and BRTC. From there, it was instructed to take action against minors and drivers without licensing drivers in public transport.
