December has been a bloody month for all the DAOs and the OHM forks. And yes, that can very much be said when it comes to Jade as well. But, to be honest, it might look worse than with all the other forks, but if you compare the recent drop of Jade (price), then you can easily compare it to Spartacus on Fantom and see that they have behaved quite similar. The only difference is that Jade dropped much faster. In fact, in less than a week the price of the token has moved from $450 to approximately $100. That is quite brutal, especially for those who bought the top!
But, Jade isn't alone with this. Everyone single DAO has dropped a lot. Just think about how Wonderland has dropped from $10,000 to $3000. OHM has dropped from $1200 to $350. HectorDAO has dropped from $250 to $65. Spartacus has dropped from $220 to $45. And I could continue, and for example, KlimaDAO, has dropped from $2800 to $300 as well. Now, these are just cruel numbers, but there is one thing that shouldn't be forgotten...
Even if you bought at the top, if you keep on holding your coins and stake them, you will still be in a plus within a couple of months due to the APYs of the different projects. And if the price of the token should increase, then it will happen even faster.
No matter what, this is kind of the logic of the DAOs, it is just a pitty if you invested at a bad time. So, I hope that you will keep calm and that you will not suffer through Christmas because of this. If you will, then you have invested money you shouldn't have invested, or crypto trading simply isn't for you!
No matter what, make sure to check the IP Address Guide article comparing the performance of 11 of the leading OHM forks - https://www.ipaddressguide.org/jade-vs-time-vs-spa-vs-fort-vs-gyro-vs-sb-vs-hec-vs-papa-vs-klima-vs-wagmi-vs-tac-which-is-the-best-project-where-to-invest-background-information-and-a-real-time-experiment/
This is gonna be interesting and we will find out which forks are performing the best in the midst of a bear market, especially among the OHM forks.
