Aug-14-2017 was Lord krishna birthday. Janamashtmi is not celebrated only in india. it is celebrated in other countries like nepal , pakistan , bangladesh & usa , caribbean , fiji, iceland & more. Janamashtmi will fall on Aug-14-2017 but as per ISKCON it will be on 15-Aug-2017.

Its is a tradition that day people making Lord krishna avatar with their kids. I did same with my nephew.
