The psu from poland arrived - and we have to say, thats some quality craftsmanship for a real good price . Even if DPD stlil has a bit of a booboo with this whole "the world is international" thing (their tracking ... this time the link to the site in poland showed "out of poland - in transit" still while when i got the idea of checking the belgian one it said "package in -depot near you-" so they forgot to update the polish site ... which means they keep different kind of track, which , to us
sounds fairly inefficient and not very cost-effective either, good for the economy tho as 2 people get to get paid for working on a site i.o one (unless you thought they'd pay a studio to do that ? in 2022 its probablly the cleaning guy who has a phd in IT and was hired b/c he's willing to clean for cleanermoney while maintaining the site after hours ... you think its just amazon huh ?)

we're testing the machine now we got the PSU from Poland to replace the russian roulette one
so the conclusion, we left it for 8 hours (more actually) , the machine didnt seem to heat so we wont be buying those laptop flat fans, the psu barely went hotter than the first hour which is a bit above body temperature. The power button on the psu saves the mechanic wear (moving parts and friction ... but at least mechanical parts can be replaced) b/c ou dont have to turn the button on the machine on and off. The sd-drive uses nothing more than the machine itself so thats no extra power.
The joystick works and pretty sure those onefilers tested every register , sid and vic function there is, we assume plasma ninja cruds on a stack overflow or similar b/c the error reproduces itself ( like whew, if it didnt it might be the hardware)
The only thing is the SD-drive fails on certain things which looks to us atm like it fails on irq loaders (and maybe other stuff that addresses the "native" 1541 etc 'programmable' ram, it probbly doesnt have that, which is where the irq loader (the one we have, cobbled from cadavers explanations) stores some code
so none of the modern demos will load likely and we wonder if newer games like the good stuff they review on RGN wont have the same issue
all onefilers work glitchless, our own 3 little demos / intros work just fine on real hardware and we'll find out the real sound of that sid-tune when we convert it to a prg
but the game we try to work up wont work since it relies on an irq loader and we dont wanna change that

so pls to send us one of those, an amiga 1200 (or 500 if you have to) an atari st (without the blitter the original ones) a falcon, an atari jaguar and a neo-geo (with a flashcart included)

The guy from 8bitisthefuture must be an electronics demigod to fix this up but not a demo-coder perhaps or he might have figured the programmable ram you get in hard-drives (hard(ware) (floppy)drives) is missing so the code to replace the bit that wont allow data transfer during IRQ and other gets fixed up with some custom (temporary) firmware that DOES allow it. So our guess is this will run about all 80s and 90s games and software , but probably not all demos, and certainly not the later ones (we couldnt get any of those up - monumentum , we are all connected, edge of disgrace, uncensored, we need more scrollers ... all hung up but all the onefilers worked fine, be they multiplexing or switching banks , playing sides and rasterbarring up wazoo-creek)
